Crema's Take
“This Boulder gem strikes a beautiful balance between approachable craft and serious coffee devotion, with a team that's equally comfortable pulling a perfect vanilla latte as they are discussing single-origin light roasts. The cozy, laptop-friendly space—complete with outdoor seating and pastries from local Dry Goods—makes it feel like a neighborhood living room, though the espresso-focused menu and house-made syrups reveal the thoughtful expertise behind the counter. It's the rare coffee shop where both casual coffee drinkers and specialty enthusiasts leave genuinely excited about what they've experienced.”

One of the best coffee shops I’ve been to in Colorado. They have both simple and more in depth coffee choices. Helpful staff as well
I have visited OWL Coffee Roasters twice now and both visits were exceptional. I'm into specialty coffee, particularly light roasted single origin beans, and I must say that their coffee is absolutely exceptional. Their pour overs are absolutely dialed in and the cups are expressive and complex. I liked what I had so much that I had to grab some beans to take home. The Cup of Excellence roast I tried about a week ago was a particular stand out. The folks working there are super friendly and approachable. They're clearly coffee nerds as they were excited to chat about specifics around each roast and their brewing process. I would also recommend that anyone visiting try something from the rarities menu. If you have time to hang out for a little, they'll serve some very high end coffees with a small Origami tasting cup and a carafe. I really enjoyed that presentation not only for the overall look and feel of the experience, but also because it allowed me to develop a better sensory experience while drinking the coffee. You'd be surprised just how good high quality coffee smells after swirling it around in a carafe designed for aeration. I will absolutely be returning to visit.
Delicious pastries from a local bakery and house made syrups. The best vanilla latte I’ve ever had!
Highly recommend OWL Coffee! I’ve been ordering their beans online ever since they started roasting, so I was beyond excited to finally visit the shop and try their lattes in person. The space is cozy and inviting, and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming—you can really tell they care about both the quality of their coffee and the people who walk through the door. I tried the apple butter latte and it was honestly one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. They also have a great selection of pastries—I went with the apple danish, and it was absolutely amazing!
Super excited for this new, locally-owned coffee shop (inside Mike’s Bikes). Nice spaces inside and outside, great pastries from Dry Goods, and best of all, gorgeous coffee. Something for everyone – full espresso bar, and multiple single origin coffees. Beans from Boulder-based Prodigal, roasted by O.W.L. Everything we tried was delicious! Our new favorite place.
