Crema's Take

Nestled in Burlington's Church Street, this intimate French bistro transports you straight to a Parisian café with its charming ambiance and completely open sidewalk windows that blur the line between dining room and street life. Beyond the exceptional traditional French fare—think perfectly executed fish and chips, decadent French toast casserole, and homemade tartar sauce—what truly sets it apart is the genuine warmth of hospitality, where staff treat guests like cherished friends rather than customers.

Exquisite small selection of local draft breweries. I had the von Trapp Helles blond Austrian style beer. Ordered the Steak Frittes instead of fries substitute for mouth watering mashed potato. My executive 2 hours plus lunch time is the normality. Matt my regular bartender was amazingly tentative. Cheers & Bon Appetite. ❤️🍁🇺🇸🙌🍁❤️

everything about this place was a 10/10, the atmosphere is beautiful it’s feels like you’re in a little bistro somewhere in france. this was probably the best meal i’ve had all year everything was fresh and took time to make, i love when i find a real restaurant. ordered the fries, french onion soup, and the beef bourginon, sorbet & macarons everything was delish.

A must visit if anywhere near Burlington, VT. Everything we ordered was amazing amd to the point- the fries, the French toast casserole, the creme brulee and the chocolate molten cake. The ambience got us few nice clicks during a sunny afternoon. Also, the service was excellent- food came quickly.

Glorious warm September day. We sat inside but the windows were completely removed/open to the sidewalk cafe. Excellent fish and chips, available battered and fried, or broiled. Tartar sauce is homemade and delicious. Most menu items can be made gluten free. Nice selection of craft brews on tap. The only drawback to this place is parking. Quirky, eclectic decor and super friendly wait staff.

We visited Leunig’s to celebrate being newly married, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. The manager herself took care of us, and her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail went above and beyond anything we expected. We were welcomed with a champagne toast upon being seated such a beautiful touch to start our evening. The Beef Tartare appetizer was absolutely mouthwatering, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. I had the steak, my husband had the pork chop, and both dishes were cooked to perfection, rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The bartender recommended a wine that paired perfectly with our meals, it was pure gold. And just when we thought the evening couldn’t get better, we were surprised with a complimentary dessert that was truly chef’s kiss. Our hearts (and stomachs!) were full. We felt genuinely celebrated, and it meant the world to us. Leunig’s isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience filled with joy, care, and culinary excellence. We are so grateful for the memory and will absolutely be back. Highly, highly recommend!
