Old Town Cafe

Crema's Take

Old Town Cafe captures that perfect intersection of a bustling neighborhood breakfast spot and a coffee destination, where hand-crafted lattes with caramel notes and cappuccinos deserve their own moment of appreciation. Beyond the espresso, their kitchen shines with creative morning fare—think churro waffles and build-your-own Eggs Benedict with notably excellent hollandaise—making this Camarillo cafe worth the wait when the crowd rolls in on weekends. It's the kind of place where friendly service and a fun, outdoor-friendly vibe make lingering over coffee and conversation feel intentional rather than rushed.

It's a very busy sit down cafe. They were a little short handed for the amount of people in the cafe but service was very friendly just not quick. If you like sweet coffee the lattes were excellent. We got the vanilla latte and a mocha. We got the advocado toast and breakfast burrito and the food was ok. Not quite as flavorful and fresh as I was hoping for for the price. They had a very extensive menu with a little bit of everything related to a breakfast cafe. Price point was about $25 per person with coffee, food, and tip.

We had a great first visit to Old Town Cafe! Tried the churro waffle and Baja-style eggs Benedict — both were delicious. I also had a cappuccino topped with caramel, and wow… it was outstanding! The place has a great vibe — clean, cozy, and welcoming. Service was friendly and quick too. Just a heads-up: we went on a Sunday, and the place filled up fast. There are fewer than 10 tables inside plus an outdoor patio, so if you come late, be ready for a short wait. So many great items on the menu — we’ll definitely be back to try more. Really impressed! Update: We went again on Saturday morning and many tables were available. This time, we ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Latin Lover — both were juicy and flavorful. The sauce on the Huevos Rancheros was especially great. After our meal, we walked over to the Camarillo Farmers Market, just about 1.5 blocks away. Perfect weekend morning!

Sunday breakfast. Delicious food, friendly attentive service and fun location. Build your own Eggs Benedict was so enjoyable. The hollandaise sauce was good...VERY GOOD and the eggs were cooked properly. Everyone working there was so attentive. In a time when customer service has nearly disappeared, they truly care about your experience. Very lovely restaurant.

Got there on a Friday at 11:00 a.m. There was no wait. Ordered the chorizo burrito with salsa Roja and cheese on top and breakfast tacos. Burrito was a good size. Everything was cooked perfectly with good flavor. The potatoes were a bit hot. Tacos for good. Salsa on the side was a medium hot. Service was friendly and fast. This was a place I saw on TikTok. I didn't order their specialty, "The Spanish" or eggs Benedict but it was a good meal.

It was time for us to change venue for a breakfast place. And this Old town cafe was the first in the list. Went there after our church time, and there was two tables left vacant. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla. We also had chicken fried steak and grilled cheese. We all love our food we ordered. Their prices are very reasonable. The place is quite cozy and they also have outdoor seatings. Restrooms were very clean. The only thing i would take out some stars is the service. It took them quite sometime to notice that they have not given us cutlery. I noticed the waitresses have asked other tables if they needed anything else, while they have ignored our table. Ive also requested extra pico de gallo for my quesadilla, but it took almost half an hour to serve it. By then i lost my appetite leaving 2 pieces. Our server cassandra, but i dont know which one since there were two of them came to our table. This other lady serving our food, instead of placing our food to whoever ordered it infront of us. She just set it in between two patrons. She should know how to serve the plates to whoever ordered it. This is something that management should look into..
