Thomas Hammer Coffee
122 N Wall St, Spokane, WA
Crema's Take
“This Spokane roastery punches above its weight with thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks and pour-overs that respect the beans, backed by baristas who genuinely care about getting your order right—whether you're a coffee connoisseur or trying specialty drinks for the first time. The space hits that sweet spot between cozy neighborhood hangout and serious coffee destination, with enough room to settle in with a laptop or linger over conversation, plus solid breakfast options to round out your visit. There's a real small-town warmth here that explains why locals keep coming back instead of heading to the chains.”

Amazing coffee and a chill atmosphere! Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters serves top-notch coffee and has a warm, inviting vibe. The perfect spot for a quiet coffee break or catching up with friends.
Long-standing coffee chain that keeps innovating while not losing the reason why people choose Tommy Hams over national coffee chains. This particular store was the first shop I ever went to in the early 00s - it has a special place in my heart! All of the baristas are kind and helpful and love a good conversation. I love going before work. Just be wary that this location serves a lot of offices and I’m pretty sure all those office workers conspire to come in at one time. So if you’re in a rush between 7:45-8:30, you may have to wait a lil bit especially if the barista is soloing and especially if there is any kind of event in town. Convention attendees love this spot too.
Absolutely brilliant. Thomas Hammer has that small town vibe with amazing staff that are patient with customers. Especially those of us new to trying different coffee drinks. They also have shirts and hoodies for sell, as well as neat cups. Oh, and the coffee is amazing. Doesn't have that burnt dirt taste like Starbucks.
Gal Kiki was so nice, I am very picky with coffee & almost never get any but she was so kind & went above & beyond by getting me the right tea. Got two veggie breakfast burritos as well, absolutely delicious.
Very disappointing experience. It is my first time stopping at this cafe. I ordered a frappe with espresso, it with high ice ratio to cream and coffee. (Tasted awful with no sugar since I didn’t ask sugar free). On top of that the the scones were dry and seems to be made a week ago. Also the barista was not enthusiastic or interested in giving good customer service. Since it was my first time at the cafe, I asked about something about the menu she was iffy about answering my question. Would come back? Probably no. Starbucks is better at the same or even lower price.
