Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop
803 Marshall Ave, Webster Groves, MO
Crema's Take
“Maypop blends coffee, plants, and community into something genuinely special—this isn't just a café where you grab espresso, it's a greenhouse-meets-gathering-space where you're surrounded by thriving herbs, vegetables, and greenery while you settle in with a solid latte. The vibe is warm and intentional, the kind of neighborhood spot that makes you want to stay for hours whether you're working, meeting friends, or just soaking in the atmosphere. It's the rare place that understands coffee is best enjoyed when you've got room to breathe, literally and figuratively.”

Maypop in Webster Groves is one of those places that makes you instantly want to linger. It’s part coffee shop, part greenhouse, part cozy neighborhood hangout—and honestly, it nails all three. The patio is gorgeous with bright yellow chairs, greenery all around, and string lights overhead. Inside, it’s full of thoughtful details: shelves of teas and pottery, local goods, and even a wall of Polaroids of visitors’ pets (such a fun touch). There’s also a designated quiet room if you want to sip and work in peace, which I love. My latte was smooth, creamy, and beautifully done with latte art. They offer house-made syrups like honey lavender and cardamom, which makes their drinks extra special. I went in for coffee, but I already know I’ll be back for brunch and cocktails—the whole vibe is too good not to. Between the plants, the coffee, the food, and the atmosphere, this place is basically everything I need. ✨ Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, and Beli for more STL coffee, brunch, and hidden gem finds!
Get coffee primarily. Latte’s usually. No flavors. Their baked goods from (?) source are good. They have new ownership, so this is based on former owners. Except I did attend an evening event they held under the new owners and it was packed and very fun. They brought in an outside vendor for food that looked really good, but we didn’t buy any that night. I look forward to updating this after a couple visits.
Excuse me, how did no one tell me Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop existed? And who looked at all of these trees, herbs, and veggie plants and thought it smart to add caffeine? Genius! I’m a black coffee purist, basic, bold, no fluff, so I can find my fix pretty much anywhere. But what I can’t find is a garden stroll with my morning brew. You gotta go! Grab a cup, wander through the plants, pretend you know the difference between a hydrangea and a hosta (I actually do). But don’t get lost.
The coffee and pastries here are honestly nothing out of the ordinary but what truly makes this place special is everything else. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the uniqueness of the building, paired with the charming outdoor garden and stunning views, creates a peaceful and beautiful setting that’s hard to find elsewhere. To top it off, the staff are incredibly bubbly and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. It’s the kind of place you come to not just for the coffee, but for the experience.
Such a cozy garden shop! Beautiful indoor and outdoor plants to choose from along with seating areas for enjoying your beverage. Parking is a bit difficult and scarce but worth the visit!! Lots of used trays to pick from too, just ask!
