Crema's Take
“The Cookery at Myrtle Hill feels like a hidden gem where the warm, intimate atmosphere rivals the food itself—reviewers rave about the cozy vibe, especially in the peaceful back patio. Beyond solid coffee, this spot shines for its thoughtfully executed breakfast and brunch dishes like thick-cut Challah French Toast and creative scrambles, all served by genuinely friendly staff who make you feel like a regular from your first visit. It's the kind of neighborhood spot that works equally well for a quiet solo coffee moment or gathering friends for an unhurried weekend meal.”

🪄The atmosphere here is wonderfully intimate and cozy. While the entire menu is impressive, the standout dishes are the thick-cut Challah French Toast topped with seasonal fruit and the savory Chicken and Waffles.🍗🧇 The drizzle of spicy syrup adds a unique kick that makes it a must-try for any brunch lover. 👍🏾
In the Gaylord Area and what a fun place to meet friends for a great meal! Getting there at 11:30 am before the noon crowd left us lots of seating choices and visit before the noise level went up. The food was all excellent. We asked about the Huevos Rancheros. Yes, they make the authentic ranchero sauce that has become illusive in the trendy spots. Yes, it was perfect! Very good dish! For me, I saw Beef Bourguignon on the menu and I’m through looking. Authentic and delicious! We all had the bottomless drip coffee. As a real serious coffee person, I would go for an upgrade to expresso or Americano next time. We all felt like that. Great service! Great Atmosphere! Awesome vibe going on here! Check it out. Park a block or two North and walk if you don’t find a place at first pass.
We got the chicken and waffles and the spinach tomato and mushroom scramble. The waffle was a little spicy but it went well with the sweetness from the honey. The scramble was a very well done mix of flavors and it was filling.
Amazing food! We sat outside in the back and it was so quaint and peaceful. Our server was so warm and friendly as well. Our breakfast was perfect, everything had great flavor and I loved the green chili. The jam and toast were my favorite part, you could tell both were made from scratch. Can't wait to go back!
Such a great last-minute brunch find! Popped in here on Easter Sunday and was so happy we didn’t have to wait long. The vibe was super friendly and welcoming. The Myrtle Hill Hash—the chipotle sauce added the perfect kick, and it was super satisfying. The pineapple mimosa was spot on with the champagne-to-juice ratio (always a win). The star was the pancake. It had a warm cinnamon-y, spiced flavor that made it way better than your average buttermilk pancake. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
