Tucker's

Crema's Take

Tucker's in Newington has won over locals as the thoughtful replacement for an IHOP, earning praise for genuinely excellent breakfast and lunch that feels both elevated and unpretentious. Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for a leisurely meal with family or friends, the attentive staff and well-executed menu of traditional and creative dishes create the kind of neighborhood spot where you actually want to linger. It's the rare restaurant that gets the fundamentals right—good food, good service, good vibes—without trying too hard.

This was my first visit to a Tuckers. I was pleasantly surprised. Both the service and the food were excellent. Our server gave us adequate time to choose something off the extensive menu and checked in with us an appropriate number of times. The atmosphere is that of a large pancake house so I was not expecting the service and food to be so good.

I read good things about Tuckers and took my parent's for lunch at the Newington, NH location yesterday. It was even better than I expected! The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I had the turkey sandwich and would definitely recommend! My parents had the French toast with the cinnamon maple butter and the autumn bowl and both were excellent. Thank you, Tuckers for a great experience. Will be back soon!

Expected long wait due to renovations in Dover I think I can speak for most locals that we are SO HAPPY ihop got replaced with a real respectable breakfast place. The staff is friendly and respectful The food was hot and yummy. I had the stake omelet and the hollandaise sauce was AMAZING. very rare to find a rare to find a restaurant that makes great hollandaise sauce I recommend this place. I’ll be here until the Dover location opens up again!

We’ve always loved the Dover location and had great experiences there, but the new Newington spot is a miss. We were seated quickly, but our waitress (I think her name was Kate) kept speaking to us like we were children, which was really annoying. My fiancé and I are grown adults, and the constant childlike talk was unnecessary. The food was okay, but the space feels small and the vibe is just a modernized, generic restaurant. Overall, the service overshadowed everything else, and we didn’t stay very long because of it.

I’ve been at the other locations and Tucker’s never fails to be fabulous. All the food, sweet or savory, is so flavorful but not over-the-top complicated or showy. It’s just really great food and service. If you get a savory breakfast you have to order a side of the queso chipotle hollandaise. And the pancakes are a MUST! I’ve eaten at probably 100 places that claim to have the best pancakes but Tucker’s is the only place that gets both the texture and flavor both perfect. Our server Makayla and the girl she was training were both lovely.
