Canary Yellow
16 N 8th St, Wilmington, NC
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Wilmington, this petite pink-themed coffee shop is as much a visual feast as it is a caffeine destination, with shelves brimming with adorable trinkets and a curated selection of apparel that rivals the drink menu. Their signature creations like the Cherub—a jam-laden espresso drink that regulars obsess over—and inventive seasonal offerings like their soda espresso showcase a playful approach to coffee that goes well beyond the standard menu. It's a cozy, intimate spot perfect for a slow morning when you want to linger over something truly special, though fair warning: the tiny size means it shines brightest on quieter days.”

Another coffee shop on my list. It’s a cute spot. They have a little shop. Some of there sweaters and tops are so cute. I need to go back to get one. The coffee was good too, I think I had their raspberry rose :). I need to go back and try their teas since I’m a tea lover.
Super cute coffee shop with seasonal drinks! They don’t have a bathroom and it’s a little small, but on a slow day it’s perfect and relaxing to shop around and enjoy your drink! They also have a little pastry case with poptarts, muffins, and cinnamon rolls that rotate flavors.
This is a tiny pink coffee shop. The inside is absolutely adorable and filled with the cutest trinkets that are for sale. The entire place is pink themed in the best way. The entire place feels warm and welcoming. The tiny kitchen by the entrance is ingenious and adorable. Despite the tight space it is not difficult to feel comfortable in this coffee shop. There is plenty of outdoor seating and some indoor seating. So if you are planning on sticking around, make sure to get there early to grab a seat! They have some unique flavor combinations that are just simply delicious. Highly recommend the canary yellow latte! In addition, they do not up charge for milk alternatives!! (My lactose intolerance is thankful)
We tried Yellow Canary about three months after they opened. I am a big fan of the unique drinks that you can't find at any other coffee shops. The soda espresso, and the jam in the cherub are definitely tasty and interesting. It may be an acquired taste though if you don't have a palate for new things. It's also worth mentioning the inside space isn't too big, so if you come with a group larger than 2 don't expect to find a seat inside. I absolutely love the inside, and can't wait to see the hotel when they open.
We have been here for coffee three times in the past 10 days. The first two times were splendid. The Cherub is probably my most favorite drink in town…but it depends on who makes it. Adorable place! Such an interesting way to mark the drinks with the paint tabs. *My previous review was from our experience and we are completely aware that it was the customer’s fault for taking my drink. (Is this better now?)
