Crema's Take

Fire Island's pastry game is genuinely excellent—think elevated sourdough, creative flavor combinations, and pastries that taste like someone actually cared about the ingredients—plus they nail Alaskan specifics like their salmon chowder and smoked salmon sandwiches that locals rave about. The vibe is slow and sit-down friendly with unlimited coffee refills, though heads up that the full breakfast menu only runs Wednesday through Sunday, so plan accordingly if you're timing a visit.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right, with creative signature drinks. Slow-sit spot. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu.

If you go anywhere while you’re in Alaska - make it Fire Island!! Their pastries are top quality and unique and their soups are always so flavourful. If you’re lucky enough to get a bowl of salmon chowder, you’ll be booking a trip back to Alaska just to have it again.

Great spot for breakfast, but the full breakfast menu is only available Wednesday through Sunday. On other days, they serve pastries and sandwiches. We tried the salmon sandwich, and it was delicious.
