Oldwest Cafe Of Denton

Crema's Take
“Oldwest Cafe is a beloved Denton institution that serves up generous, craveable breakfast and lunch in a charming country diner atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. The kitchen moves fast and the staff genuinely cares about making your visit special, whether you're flying solo or bringing the whole family, and the menu's abundance of made-from-scratch items like corn fritters and eggs benedict keeps locals coming back despite the wait. If you're looking for authentic comfort food and warm hospitality over a long, leisurely coffee, this is where Denton gathers.”

The food was great! Service was really fast. Our waitress was wonderful! It was packed but we managed to get a table a lot faster than the estimated 30 min wait!
Oldest Cafe of Denton was amazingly good! The decor was cute and like a country Cafe. The staff was really friendly and helped us get the perfect table since we had a baby with us. The menu is big and the portions were really huge. This place has been around for 20 plus years or more but it didnt have the creepy old resturant vibe. They also have a large coffee menu but I just got black coffee this time. I will for sure go back!
OMG! Sits right next to Chili's......why would anyone go to Chili's with this place nextdoor? Wow! Great food, service, and atmosphere. Way more than you can eat and tasty! The corn fritters were amazing. We had chicken fried steak and the Doc Holliday were both amazing!! Highly recommend!!
Lord, please help me! Sooo much good food with no way to save the remaining portion for later. Due to work requirements, I was staying at the Embassy Suites - Denton, where room refrigerators are too small for to-go boxes. I ate what I could and abandoned the rest like the coward I am. 😁 All kidding aside, their coffee menu is decadent, diverse menu, fast service, and the helpings are huge. The Oldwest Cafè mixes good modern-day home cooking with Southern hospitality… that’s a whimsical combination and garners a wholesome recommendation!
Where there is a wait, must be good. Portion sizes are big! The Benny is yummy. The fried chicken with nacho that I got, pretty good too, taste a bit like nacho cheese. Chocolate was big, and abit over the top. Good to share.
