Crema's Take
“Tucked inside an industrial building with genuine character, Hidden House Coffee feels like a local secret that somehow everyone's discovered—and for good reason. They roast their own beans and bake pastries in-house, creating that rare combination of a relaxed, unpretentious vibe paired with serious craft coffee that keeps people coming back on Saturday mornings and road trips alike.”

I stopped by Hidden House Coffee on a Saturday morning, and it instantly felt like a solid local spot. The building has character, and the atmosphere is relaxed without being sleepy. My cold brew was bold but smooth, exactly how I like it. I grabbed a seat outside and just enjoyed the quiet energy of downtown Santa Ana waking up. The staff was friendly and efficient, and nothing felt rushed. Definitely the kind of place I’d come back to regularly.
Stumbled upon this gem by accident while on a road trip. We instantly loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. It’s so charming and inviting. The coffees we tried were great. I enjoyed the pistachio latte. It wasn’t too sweet and I could taste the pistachio. We also enjoyed the pastries. We ordered the banana bread, butter croissant, and chocolate twist. All were delicious! Wish we lived in the area. I would be a regular.
Didn't spend too long here, but we did order drinks and blueberry muffins for to go. It's a cozy spot with only street parking, which can get kinda annoying if you go at a busy time. I got a hot chai, and I've got no complaints. The blueberry muffin was sweet and tart, and heated up it was very soft and tasty. I'd definitely come back to hang out on a nice day!
Hidden House Coffee is an unique coffee shop. It is set up in an industrial building. The atmosphere is relax and informal. I visited them on a Thursday mid morning. The staffs were friendly and efficient. The Cappuccino was a bit bitter. It tasted better with the red ceramic mug and plate set. The croissant was average and a bit flat in the bottom half. The bagel bun had some good fillings. Overall, I will come back.
Welcome to the not-so hidden house of coffee! It’s a very popular spot in Santa Ana. They roast their coffee beans and bake their pastries in house. As I try each new item I’ll update this review, so keep checking for any updates. All in all, it’s a great place to stop by and get some work done. Stop here to enjoy the enticing ambience of chirping birds in the outdoor seating. The staff is very approachable and super friendly. The three times I’ve been, I’ve gotten my coffee quickly! I tried their pistachio latte and right away I could taste that the beans were smooth and less acidic than I’m accustomed to, not a bad thing! I liked that it was milky but not too sweet, the pistachio and coffee balanced well together. I look forward to trying their other coffees and pastries so I can give better recommendations. Update 1. The chamomile tea that they use is great! But the water is too hot for the tea. There’s a perfect temp just before boiling that makes tea, delicious. Any proud tea snobs will know what I’m talking about. Update 2. The cold Maple Brown Sugar Latte is great for your average casual coffee drinker! It’s not too sweet and pretty light in coffee flavor. Due to how gentle it was on the coffee, I found it lacking in caffeine strength boldness. Still great! Totally recommend, and I can see why it’s so popular. The foam is delicious!
