Crema's Take
“I don't have enough specific information about Poindexter as a coffee shop to write an accurate summary. The reviews provided appear to be from a hotel rather than a coffee establishment, mentioning front desks, valets, rooftop bars, and room reservations instead of coffee quality, brewing methods, or café atmosphere. Could you provide coffee-specific details about Poindexter—such as their sourcing practices, signature drinks, roasting style, or what makes their coffee experience unique?”

I don’t want to come on here and write a review directing aiming towards staff. The valet worker was extremely lazy. He offered zero help and lead us into the parking area and failed to mention the $75 DAILY charge for parking. He sat there on his phone practically the entire time. The other staff were amazing though.
I got the bait and switch from this hotel. I booked a five night stay several months in advance. I am a gold hilton honors member so I utilized some benefits and points for three nights of the stay. The final two nights I was charged double the room rate because they said my fiancé didn’t present his government ID for the govt rate. He actually presented the ID on two occasions. He was not with me upon check out because he was back on the base but they said because there was no id they had to charge the “rack” rate. My card was pre authorized for $589 initially to cover the two nights but suddenly they’re claiming the rate I am to pay for not presenting ID is double the rate I was quoted. ($1,180) Seems to me they’re charging for the entire five night stay to recoup the points that were used. It’s a scam and the staff was in on it. They requested the ID and I sent him down To present it. Then the next day they asked for it again and he went down and showed them again. And then they say they never saw it. I spoke to the hotel and they were less than honest about the entire situation claiming I was the only person in the room and he was never there. Weird and wacked and I’m not letting this go. I demand my refund for the over charging the room rate. It’s being escalated to general manager and I will update this post as it pertains.
Stayed here for a week for work meetings. Service at the front door, at the front desk and the waiters who setup our food for the meetings was fantastic and friendly. The bar tenders at the Rooftop bar were very friendly and great. The food that was laid out for our breakfasts and dinners looked and tasted fantastic. Keep up the good work!
I was so disappointed with this hotel. We originally booked 2 nights but changed our reservation as we wanted to stay an extra night before arriving at our previous destination. We were so glad we did this as one night was enough. Rooms are small and very noisy constantly hear banging and talking in the corridor. The check in staff were friendly and gave our dog treats. But as a “dog friendly hotel” no areas are dog friendly to take them ? No bar no restaurant no patio on roof top. So disappointing. But what was worse was our nights sleep ! Like I said the hotel is so noisy and in the morning we had zero hot water ! So had to leave not having a shower before a long road trip. Overall we were so disappointed. Also parking is valet only which is handy but we didn’t know this so when we pulled up we were helped straight away by the male valet but even asking if he could give me a minute to let me get sorted as we had a dog in the car who was excited and lots of bags. He was hovering behind us and wouldn’t leave us be. I do have to say the young girl was so friendly and helpful especially the next morning when we left she was the sweetest part of our whole visit. When we called the reception everytime from our room there was never an answer they do call back but it was a very blunt man who when o had said it’s ok. (My partner had gone down to see them) he put the phone straight down.
Amazing hotel. Jajuan at the front desk was helpful, kind and professional, Diego at the valet was on it, and kelsey was equally amazing. Essential was a sweetheart and very helpful. Gym was easy to find, and had all the essentials, breakfast was surprisingly good and the rooftop pool was beautiful. Room was spotless. I'll be back when I'm in Tuscon.
