Crema's Take

This Waco spot strikes a lovely balance between a casual neighborhood café and a destination for thoughtful, ingredient-driven meals, with a particularly strong reputation for fresh breakfast and creative bowls that feel nourishing rather than heavy. The calm, welcoming atmosphere makes it equally suited for a quick solo coffee grab or lingering over brunch with family, and the kitchen clearly takes pride in their preparations—from grilled proteins to house-made touches that show up in everything from Dan Dan noodles to salmon dishes. It's the kind of place where you'll find both familiar comfort (a solid burger and fries) and something a bit more adventurous, all executed with care.

If you are searching for a yummy healthy option for breakfast, lunch or dinner, look no further! JD’s is on point. The food is fantastic, made with whole ingredients. They have a good variety of grab-n-go options. The dining room has a great atmosphere. They have gluten free options for meals and desserts. The best part is the restaurant is **Seed oil free!**

It was "okay". The burger i had was delicious. The med bowl was too expensive 9.99 or so for rice, 4 cherry tomatoes 🍅 cut in half, 5 olives and some cucumber. We even paid for chicken. Grilled but light on seasoning. The addition of chicken was $6. So 15.99 for a small portion of food. I had the burger. The burger was good although you cant get mayo or mustard if you wanted. The homemade fries 💯 awesome! Other than the small bathroom type cups for water (glass though lol) the server and atmosphere was awesome!!

Our first time dining at this location started off with a great impression. The atmosphere was nice, calm, and relaxing. We arrived around 10:30 a.m. for a late breakfast, and it was fairly empty, which we really appreciated. Pamela (I believe that was her name) was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and very attentive — truly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the food and service time did not meet the same standard. We ordered a breakfast panini that came out smelling burnt. Our second order was an omelet with medium-rare steak, but the steak was overly cooked and charred. On top of that, we waited almost 40 minutes for our food, even though there were only about eight customers in the restaurant at the time. For a first visit, this was very disappointing. A manager was supposed to come speak with us, but instead Pamela was sent to relay the message. While she sincerely apologized and handled it professionally, the lack of management presence was noticeable and frustrating. They did make things right, and I truly appreciate Pamela’s effort and kindness. However, based on this experience, I don’t feel confident about returning.

We ate here to taste the food for our daughter’s wedding. We loved everything we tried from the Dan Dan noodles to the salmon! Everything was delicious and what we got at the wedding was exactly what we tasted. It was fabulous! Everyone loved the cake too (and it was beautiful!!!) (the chocolate cake is gf and some of the best cake I have ever had!) AND if the delicious food weren’t enough the service at our wedding was top notch!!! Everyone was kind and helpful. It was a wonderful evening. Our bartender, Karen was supurb!!! Teresa and the entire team worked so hard to make our daughters day so special!

Update from 5-16 visit - I enjoyed the food and had a lovely lunch with family where we ordered the cod sandwich and fries, hamburger, and salmon power bowl. Very light and nourishing! Great service and cozy seating and lighting and a great place to work from and quiet. I enjoyed my oat milk latte with house syrup and their apricot carrot cake was fresh! They have a variety of grab and go options outside of lunch service hours! Excited to try them out again!
