Crema's Take
“Lynda Sandwich is a cash-only Vietnamese banh mi spot in San Jose where generous, delicious sandwiches at $5.50 have earned genuine loyalty from regulars and first-timers alike. The owner's warmth shines through in small moments—like letting customers return later to pay—making it feel less like a quick grab and more like a neighborhood gem. Beyond the stellar banh mi (#8 grilled pork is a standout), they offer coffee and snacks that keep people coming back to this unassuming little space.”

Wow, this is the place to go when you want very delicious mouth watering Vietnam sandwich in San Jose. My good buddy recommended this place to me, so I stopped by and bought a few bun mi. Oh man, it's was super good. Gonna go back tomorrow buy a few more for a road trip back my home state. Thank you Lydna Sandwich for making these yummy bun mi.
I went in to get some baguette for my bo kho but forgot this place is cash only and I didn’t have any cash with me. The sale lady was so nice, she said “just come back and pay me tomorrow” with a big smile. I was thankful but a little embarrassed so I respectfully declined her offer but she already told the kitchen lady to give me a longer piece. The other sale lady also said “give her more so she can enjoy her dinner”. Luckily, I found some quarters in my car so I went back in to pay her. Thank you so much for your generosity nice ladies. I will be back to support your business 😊
This is a small place. I came here with a group, and we all got banh mi. I got the #8 grilled pork. I would recommend it! It's a big sandwich and I ate the whole thing because it was so good. One of the people in my group didn't like how the veggies were cut. They use long slices of cucumber and jalapeno. She probably prefers the cucumber shredded and the jalapeno sliced or chopped small. Obviously they come with cilantro. So if you don't want that, make sure to ask for none. There's not a sitting place to eat here, so you have to find an empty bench or table around Vietnam town if you're not going home to eat. The sandwiches are a fair price at $8 each. This place also sells snacks and drinks. I would get banh mi here again.
Was in the area and craving me some bbq banh mi sandwich. They only had the grilled pork #8 which was pretty close. It tasted good so not bad as a substitute.
Food: The sandwiches here are pretty good. They are alot bigger than Lee's sandwiches. A lot of snacks here. Price: As for November 2018, sandwiches are going for $5.50 as well as coffee. Ambience: The place is usually not busy. Very bright place. You have an orange to peach wall. Amentities: A few tables. No restroom.
