The food look exactly like the pictures that are being advertised. Food was hot and fresh. Alongside of that the customer serves was top tier very friendly people. I must say we finally have good food and service in liberty city area once again. I haven’t had inner city food this good since 2 dollar house. I definitely will be back

I loved this place. I normally pick up orders from here as a delivery driver but I decided to get a bite today(1/2826) and maaaaaannnnnn it was the bomb. Everything(grits, eggs, and hash browns)taste so well put together plus the salmon croquets taste like my mom made it. I will definitely recommend this, which i have already done, to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot. I almost forgot the tea of the day which was amazing too but like when I was eating the food I forgot I had the drink then to. A definite must try.

Cashier was nice and patient. Shrimp & grits bowl was the star of the show! Super flavorful. Great prices also. I’m definitely coming back.

The food LOOKS good that’s about it .Terrible service , salmon balls (cause it wasn’t croquettes) was too thick & wasn’t fully cooked . Asked for American cheese they gave shredded cheese . The smothered pork chops was nasty , not sure what kind of gravy they used . Grits was creamy like they used heavy whipping cream (not my preference) To make matters worse I bite into my eggs & there was an egg shell the size of a QUARTER in them 🤮 then when I took the food back the “cook” in the back came out with a attitude & asked “so you want a refund” no apologies for the food or nothing 😂 then proceeded to give me a partial refund because I didn’t bring back the drinks that was $5 for a small cup , but it’s cool because it was the best thing they had . Tried to support a black own business but nahhhhh definitely not returning !!

UpperTEA is an amazing little gem in the heart of Miami. From the moment you enter the space you know you are in for a treat. The atmosphere is really something special and you can feel the owners hospitality and charm as soon as you walk in. I also appreciated how so many different folks from all walks of life came in to patronize this business in just the short time I was there. It was definitely a place for ALL. From the different art prints on the walls to the shelves of mugs and plants to the adjacent wall full of apothecary jars filled with loose leaf tea and fixins. The place is oozing with personality and charm The customer service was excellent as well and I appreciated the young lady behind the counter giving us a second to review the menu before we ordered. She even let us sample the daily tea being offered and it was well worth the sip. Honestly, I would come back just for another cup. My party of three ordered the smothered bowls - two orders of smothered chicken and one order of smothered shrimp. We also ordered a pound cake slice and two of the daily teas. Lastly, we grabbed a chicken souse and grits to go. Everything was phenomenal. The flavor profile of the gravy on all the different smothered bowls was something to be studied. It was hearty yet light. Herbaceous and full of familiar flavors of the ancestors but with a more refined up to date taste. Definitely something everyone should try when they come. All in all, UpperTEA is well worth the visit and be sure to take something to go. You won't be disappointed.
