We had a great time at the fine arts building tonight. We caught a sketch comedy group on campus called Boy in the Bubble. The show was in room 015, and it was a good crowd. The room had great acoustics, the sound system worked great, and the microphone they used to do the show was nice and loud. The fine arts building is of course known for it's great fine arts curriculum, but it has a reputation for other fun campus events as well.
I visited the Fine Arts Building where I used to work in the library as I earned my degree in painting 44 years ago. The library is now a bookstore...but much in the building remains unchanged...from the statue by J. P Darrieu at the entrance (no attribution label though), the beat-up lockers, drawing benches and polished cement floors of the painting studios to Karla Faith's fresco. A nice trip down memory lane in advance of our watching the total eclipse of the sun.
Visited the MFA grad show with thoughtful and well crafted ideas and work.
