Taurino's Mexican Restaurant
4416 Callaghan Rd, San Antonio, TX
Crema's Take
“While Taurino's is primarily a Mexican restaurant, their coffee and traditional drinks deserve a mention for anyone seeking an authentic San Antonio experience. Reviewers consistently praise their fresh-brewed tea and homemade beverages served in a spotlessly clean, family-friendly environment that keeps locals coming back for generations. The efficient service and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal spot for a quick morning grab before work or a leisurely breakfast with family.”

“Went through the drive-through” Ordered the enchilada plate with cheese so it should come with three. I don’t know why I got two. I really love this place, foods great but today was just a bad experience. My to-go plate looked like it was used a couple of times and they just reused it again. The bag that had condiments was wet and torn. I just don’t understand how someone can bag that up and hand it to somebody, well this is the reason a review like this is going to happen. Didn’t call to get my one enchilada cause I didn’t get a receipt and what’s the point, I didn’t have that much time since I was on lunch break. I know what you look out for next time I go through the drive-through but come on guys I always talk highly about y’all, And still will.
We Retired United States Marine Brethren’s had a Warriors Breakfast”. We all had The Outstanding Menudo.
Nice and Cold in this Restaurant 👍Fabulous Restaurant real clean with a Germ X station as your exiting the Restaurant. Really good Green Salsa, delicious tortillas, real good Tea, and fresh Lemon’s. My Love said: Love their Carne Guisada than any other place we have been too👍 and she also loved the Rice❤️As far as me: The fideo loco was Extremely Delicious❤️ fajita inside bowl had a very fine meat quality with an excellent delicious taste. The charro beans were barely ok but passable . I will definitely be back 👍
Finally tried out Taurino's on Ingram/Callaghan today. Super packed with a steady flow of people coming and going. We had a group of 8, we were promptly seated, and checked on multiple times. Service was definitely a 10/10! We (my son and I) ordered the following: Huevos rancheros plate with guisada and added cheese Large sweet tea Large coffee Large horchata 4 bean/cheese tacos 1 potato/chorizo taco 1 chorizo/egg taco Totaling $35.00 before tip Overall, the food was pretty good and we'll be back!
My favorite Mexican dish is chicken mole. With that being said, I've tasted quite a few different mole dishes. And I have to say, the chicken mole enchiladas served here are THE BEST I've ever had! The mole is thick, rich, and FULL of flavor! It was so good that I asked for a side of mole to spread over my beans and rice! The chicken was NOT from the can. It was the real deal. The refried beans and rice were also filled with flavor. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The waitress was very attentive and gave refills without having to be asked. I appreciate good service. The salsa has a kick that went well with my food. I left full and surprised at how good this restaurant was. If you like mole, I highly recommend trying this mole. 👌
