Patchwork Coffee
655 W Jefferson St, Tallahassee, FL
Crema's Take
“Patchwork Coffee captures that sweet spot between nostalgic 1970s coffee bar charm and genuinely excellent espresso craftsmanship, where drinks arrive on ceramic with the kind of care that makes you want to linger. Whether you're settling in for a study session under the outdoor seating or meeting a friend over a blueberry muffin and cortado, the friendly service and cozy, spread-out atmosphere make it feel less like a caffeine pit stop and more like your favorite local third place.”

The atmosphere at Ruge Hall is really cool. The service was very friendly and competent, and the latte and blueberry muffin were very tasty. I love that you can get great coffee, eat it outside under the shade of the live oaks, or in the historic (and air-conditioned) seating inside. They have a games library, a vintage TV/video-game setup, and tons of groups meet there almost every day. So, if you're new in town and looking to plug in, you'll find something to your liking. Check it out!
Favorite coffee spot in Tallahassee! I think I might be here everyday because my bank recap said it’s most of my eating out budget but that’s a huge surprise because it’s so reasonably priced! I love it here I’m probably here right now come join me
The best café in Tallahassee! The service is very proper, especially for coffee, their speciality - with drinks such as espresso and cortado coming on a tray, in ceramic and with a glass of sparkling water on the side (this is both aesthetic and functional as you can hydrate, enjoy the sparking water and cleanse your palate. Tea is also good here, especially considering they are working on their set-up (ordering specific teaware etc). They food is excellent, if on the more 'luxury' end of both appearance and price, but I always go for their drinks, which are presented in a lovely way - you simply must drink it there to enjoy the modern and traditional, the bright of the sun and the character of the dark wood - plus the artwork -- they also boast a large collection of board-games and have plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Again, they are simply the best café in Tallahassee and worth visiting, sitting down and having a cuppa tea or coffee. I recommend them to everyone and they are also delighted. The team working there are also very friendly.
Think 1970s coffee bar ambiance with 2025 drink choices and service to match. Excellent excellent excellent. In other works a comfy coffee shop with great room to spread out and chill or study!
This place is an absolute gem. Great place to study and get some work done in a very cozy atmosphere. Coffee was great too! Tried the seasonal pumpkin lattee and an Americano. Both were great! Thanks patchwork - Brent
