Crema's Take

Tucked away in Hilo, this spot is a genuine community hub where thoughtfully crafted drinks—from nitro cold brew to Black Sesame Matcha—pair beautifully with creative, plant-forward food that celebrates local Hawaiian ingredients without sacrificing flavor or portion size. The vibe is unhurried and welcoming, perfect for lingering over breakfast (those almond flour waffles are worth the trip) or catching up with friends, and the kitchen clearly cares about doing right by both vegans and meat-eaters alike.

What a gem in Hilo. Glad I followed reccomendations and found the booch bar. Clean food, good portions. Options for vegetarians and carnivores. Good sized portions. The best nitro cold brew I've ever had. Even my toddler was impressed and ate a lot. Bathrooms are a great indicator of cleanliness and theirs are very clean. It was so nice to get away from the Sysco foods slop served in the touristy spots. As a vegetarian who eats mostly organic, this place was a blessing. 10/10.

Great vegan and vegetarian breakfast options. The almond flour waffles and temphe were excellent. Black Sesame Matcha with oat milk was amazing.

Ordered some burgers to go, medium rare, no one greeted me when I arrived. The burgers presentation was good but they were cooked too much overly done/ dry and cost too much for what they are offering. The staff never checked to see if everything was all right. I’m sure the kombucha Is good, but the staff seemed more concerned with chatting with each other than their service.

Delicious vegan food in Hilo! Got the Conscious Culture Burger and the Tacos with the Faux-Chorizo. Both were fresh and delicious! Tried the Root Booch as well. It was very refreshing and tasty. Nice ambience with a very relaxed vibe. Live music was a nice touch as well.

Phenomenal food and flavorful drinks. The staff is friendly and attentive. Loved the atmosphere. Lots of vegan options that don't skimp on flavor. Hawaiian fruits are also included on most plates. I came here 5 days of my vacation in Hilo and have ZERO regrets. Highly recommend.
