The decor is upscale modern with greens and marble tops. Perfect dishes to complement perfectly prepared food. The staff is friendly and professional adding a perfect touch. Perfect background music and a latte menu to be-celebrated. They know how to make art out of coffee in a perfect mug. Highly recommend
Definitely one of my favorite breakfast places in Anchorage now. Carson lake, I like the food better than going to South
10/10!
The food is delicious, the portions are large, the prices are great and the staff is stellar! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great breakfast!
Borealis Restaurant is a fairly new addition to Anchorage’s dining scene, and it is great 👍 It is beautifully designed, cozy without feeling cramped, and warm in a way that makes it easy to settle in for a long meal. It also handled our large party with no issues, which is always a good sign for both the space and the staff’s coordination. The food itself was a highlight. Everything arrived beautifully plated, and more importantly, it delivered on flavor. Dishes felt thoughtful rather than rushed, and you can tell there’s real attention to presentation without sacrificing taste. It’s the kind of menu where you end up looking around the table wishing you had ordered “just one more” thing to try. Service was another strong point. The servers were attentive without hovering, quick to check in at the right moments, and overall made the experience feel smooth and well taken care of. The only small critique would be the toast slices—unfortunately, they had a slightly odd, overly oily taste that didn’t come across as butter, which stood out compared to the rest of the meal’s quality. It’s a minor detail, but noticeable because everything else was executed well. Overall, Borealis feels like a promising, well-designed restaurant with strong food and service, and just a couple of small refinements needed to make it truly shine.
