“Cafe Tati is a charming halal-certified neighborhood spot in Hoboken where French-Ethiopian flavors meet specialty coffee craftsmanship, drawing devoted fans who praise the perfectly balanced matcha and creamy espresso drinks alongside standout savory crepes and sandwiches. The intimate, whimsically decorated space—complete with bears adorning the exterior—creates a genuinely warm atmosphere that regulars describe as cozy and inviting, making it equally suited for a solo coffee moment or lingering brunch with friends. What truly sets it apart is the rare combination of serious coffee and tea execution paired with an unexpectedly sophisticated food program and genuine hospitality that keeps people coming back.”

Stumbled on this cozy Hoboken *halal* gem! The menu is fully halal and I got some coffee and the croque madame which was super delicious. Excellent service and ambiance for a tiny spot. Only thing was I came out of the place weirdly smelling strongly of their food. Wished the kitchen area had better ventilation. Other than that, was lovely and can’t wait to go back.
We went for Brunch. The experience was quite good. It is a good option if you are looking for a good cup of some French-Ethiopian style cuisine (if I am remembering correctly). The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I loved everything about this place. It is so cute with the bears on the outside and how it's set up. The inside is just as warm and inviting. Very extensive menu from breakfast to dinner items. It definitely has the flair of a Parisian cafe with beautiful photographs and wrapped bench seating. I'll be coming back to try the pancakes! I got a toasted bagguete w butter and a hot chocolate w raspberry shot.
So good I made a 480 mile drive for it. Service and atmosphere were both great. The coffee and matcha were the perfect amount of sweet. The food made my eyes water. Get a crepe with salmon and cheese. Good luck parking.
I was sort of underwhelmed by Cafe Tati. Cute little cafe close to Church Square park. It has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors and we both ordered a sandwich. I ordered a mozzarella tomato pesto and I asked for it not heated. My husband order a smoked salmon sandwich. Mine came out heated, I should have said something but I was really hungry. But heating it made the baguette bread too hard to eat. The sandwiches were $16 and did not come with chips or a side salad. My husband ordered some Moroccan mint tea which was really good. I might go back and try something else. The French Onion soup looked good when I saw some orders being taken out. I was disappointed when I went to pay the bill and I saw some signs by the cashier of the days specials one of which was some pancakes, which I'm a sucker for. When we ordered the waitress had not mentioned any specials.
