Crema's Take

Tucked inside a beautifully repurposed historic building that once served as a high school, this Laramie spot combines excellent coffee with genuine warmth and surprisingly delicious food (those $8 breakfast burritos are legendary). The golden lattes are creamy and comforting, the cold brew punches above its weight, and the whole operation radiates a rad, unpretentious vibe that makes it feel less like a quick caffeine stop and more like discovering a local gem.

It's in a building that I think was once used for a high school. I walked in the wrong door and was wandering around a little bit and amazed at the various uses and offices that are in that building. When I found the actual coffee house it was quaint, clean, helpful people and really just a treasure. They have a zero waste policy so if you don't bring your own cup plan on spending a dollar for a 12 oz. I think mason jar. Sent me back a few years and gave me a bit of Joy at the same time. Only thing better than the food was the service. The barista was really good. Can't say more than that. Got a cookie. It was warmed up perfectly and was so stuffed full of chocolate chips that I got a little on my nose. Luckily my son was with me who pointed it out. Otherwise, I might have been walking around all day with a little bit of melted chocolate stuck to my nose. This is one of those places that it's worth going out of your way to go to. If you go a little bit too far it might catch you off guard because if you miss the sign it's just a big brick building. Wander in. It's kind of fun inside too.

Seemed like a cool vibe when looking online for coffee while traveling through. Clicked on their menu and saw the $8 breakfast burrito which was my deciding factor. Arrived and it was $12.50 but sold out. That happens but the prices listed online should be updated. Get a $4 cold brew and am informed of the zero waste aspect so would be charged $1 for a glass and asked if I could use my coffee thermos, which I could. I loved this but then they still charged me $1 for their mason jar that I didn't even use. After tip, $6 and change for coffee in my own thermos left a bad taste in my mouth but not as bad as the coffee. Cold brew was gritty on the ice and tasted like packs of Sugar in the Raw, which I'm assuming were poured in while filling my container? Not a great initial taste and then an even worse aftertaste. I really wanted to love this experience but there were zero redeeming qualities of my visit. Love the idea but was not a fan of the misleading pricing, service or the coffee. Definitely would not return here.

Really rad coffee shop in a unique location! Everything on their menu is DELICIOUS. Golden latte is cozy and scrumptious! The cold brew is better than even expected. All the syrups are homemade and the vanilla is crave-able! Best matcha (get with oat milk and vanilla syrup) in Laramie for sure. Need to come back for cinnamon roll Sunday!

yesterday we went to the local internet lounge and it wasn’t comfy or cozy at all, but we are SO glad we checked out Sunshine Coffee today (*we ended up coming here multiple times during our time in Laramie)!! it’s warm, cozy, comfy seating, DOG FRIENDLY (even gave our dog a piece of cheese!), good wifi, their matcha lattes are delightful, as are their day old cookies for $1. laural is the kindest barista! lots of cute merch, too! **only downside: it’s in an old building, so there are very few outlets if you need to charge your laptop.

A great little cafe. Offering food and delicious coffee. I didn't have any food but a great oatmilk latte with honey! It's in a old highschool that is now some form of community center, I believe. Good amount of seating, wifi, 🏳️‍🌈 friendly/safe space , pet friendly (at least in the front "lobby" area). Just happened to find this place as I pulled of the highway in my way westward! 👏🏻
