Crema's Take

Tucked into Laramie's literary scene, this hybrid coffeehouse and bookstore creates the kind of unhurried atmosphere where you'll want to linger over a thoughtfully made drink and genuinely good food—their breakfast burritos are legendary enough to warrant a detour. The care that goes into their traditional espresso drinks shows they're serious about coffee quality without any pretension, making it equally welcoming whether you're settling in with a book, working on your laptop, or just passing through town needing a genuine caffeine boost.

I noticed this cafe getting review bombed and HAVE to say it's genuinely the best cafe in town! Their drinks are SO delicious and worth their price, the atmosphere is amazing, and their book selection is top notch. Baristas Connor and Addison go ABOVE AND BEYOND with their service, and it feels like I have best friends waiting for me whenever I come in. Whenever someone asks me where in town they can go locally for a drink, I send them to Night Heron!!

This was a very beautiful town and a perfect stop to get coffee. The coffee was nice and the food was a great snack before getting back on the road. The vibe was chill and it was awesome looking at the books while we waited.

Have you ever wondered what the best breakfast burrito on earth tasted like? Well you could if you went here. Night Heron is by far the best coffee shop in town. There’s local influence here (such as their coffee is sourced from local roasters. They even have a dude that makes hot sauce for them) and has such a great atmosphere. Pick a book off of a shelf and read while you have your latte, beer, cocktail, whatever you consume. Or show up in the evening to listen to some of the best poets in town. The pastries are an absolute must and crafted with care. Don’t think twice about where to go: go to Night Heron.

Really nice little coffee shop/bookstore. I didn’t spend much time looking through the books, but I enjoyed getting to do a little work in the nice setting. The coffee was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Seems like a great local hangout spot.

Wonderful find! It’s a beautiful and welcoming and cozy cafe and bookstore with two floors, food, and coffee. They have a well curated and maintained collection of books and the quiche is delicious! Picked up a beautiful leather bound copy of Rabelais’ Gargantua and Pantagruel and an excellent hikers guide by local writer, M Edwards while browsing with a latte. they also have beautiful mugs made by local potters as well so I got a couple for Christmas gifts… if I can bear to part with them. Exactly what I was hoping to find in a small university town.
