“Mavro Kafe's matcha drinks are genuinely worth debating—some swear it's the best in LA with perfect balance, while others find it disappointingly weak, so you'll have to judge for yourself. What's not up for debate is the back terrace draped in plants and the excellent cold brew, plus creative pastries like citrus olive oil cake that justify a walk through Mar Vista. The staff, particularly Ian and Jonathan, make this feel like the neighborhood coffee shop everyone wishes they had nearby.”

Lovely coffee shop with nice terrace in the back. Lots of plants. Friendly staff. Excellent cold brew. I enjoyed the citrus olive oil cake/bread. Parking can be tricky. Best to come on foot if you live nearby.

Update: matcha is not good as the reviews say. It tastes very weak, watered-down. Just weak matcha plus milk, it's not a typical latte at stores anymore too. At around $9 with oat milk, I was quite disappointed.
