Crema's Take

This Charlottesville gem roasts its own beans in-house, delivering impressively fresh coffee that pairs beautifully with homemade croissants and creative drinks like their standout mango matcha with oat milk. The vintage-tinged atmosphere feels genuinely welcoming and unhurried, making it the kind of place regulars keep coming back to for both the quality and the vibe. Whether you're after a meticulously pulled espresso or a leisurely breakfast, Camellia's strikes that rare balance between serious craft and genuine comfort.

How did I not know there was such a great coffee shop in this town? They roast their own coffee here, and it tastes amazing. It’s not just the coffee though. their croissants are homemade too, and the flavor is truly something special. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. They explained everything in detail and provided such wonderful service and here’s the best part, the coffee beans they were using today were a medium roast Mexico Honey Process from Chiapas… which is my hometown! 🇲🇽 What a beautiful coincidence. I couldn’t resist buying a bag of beans to take home with me. Thank you for being another fantastic coffee spot in Charlottesville. If you’re looking to support a local business, I highly recommend this one!

Had a craving for a good croissant and got was delivered one absolutely dowsed in chocolate going beyond what was enjoyable. I also got a matcha latte that was more chalky than others I had enjoyed. The woman working was nice and the atmosphere is cool on the inside but they can tone down a bit with the neon lights.

Camelia’s Coffee & Tea is my go-to spot! I’m obsessed with their mango matcha with oat milk, cappuccinos, and lattes—so smooth and flavorful. The pastries and avocado toast are always fresh and delicious. The vibe is eclectic and super welcoming.Ling is incredibly kind and always remembers me and my family, which makes every visit feel personal. Excited for their new 10th Street location—perfect for a quick stop for UVA students or hospital staff, while Preston Ave remains great for full meals. 🍵🥐☕💚

Amazing new coffee shop with a cool vintage vibe just off the Main Street. They roast their own coffee beans in house, so their coffee smells and tastes really fresh and great! They also have a small bakery, serving fresh croissants and cakes. I will stop by here again for sure!

Camellia’s has always been my go-to in C’Ville, and I’m so excited there’s now a second location even closer to me! The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, and inviting, with plenty of seating. My new favorite spot is the outdoor patio—I can already tell it’s going to be my go-to hangout this fall. It’s the perfect place to get some work done or catch up with friends. Ling is truly a gem—always so welcoming and accommodating, and you can tell she genuinely cares about every guest who walks through the door. I can’t wait to try their new milk tea collection! The iced strawberry matcha latte is my favorite, but the hojicha is a close second. If you’re thinking about stopping by—don’t hesitate. Just go!
