Crema's Take

Minglewood feels like the kind of place where locals linger over excellent breakfast sandwiches and thoughtfully crafted lattes, with reviewers raving about crispy leeks on avocado toast and surprisingly tender lamb dishes that elevate typical café fare. The recent remodel has polished up what's already a warm, welcoming spot in Tahoe City—perfect for settling in with good coffee and conversation, though the Tahoe pricing and limited milk alternatives might give some pause.

Popped in during Snowfest Street Faire for the first time. Order a basic latte and their breakfast sandwich. Little pricy but what isn't in tahoe. To my delight, it was the best coffee I've ever had in tahoe and the breakfast sandwich was large, hardy, and delicious. Worth every penny!

New favorite breakfast place in Tahoe City! Had the everything avocado toast and the brisket breakfast burrito - both were delicious. Really enjoyed the crispy leeks on the avo toast. They had board games for use as well.

Great place with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. The food was fresh and full of flavor. I especially liked the lamb — it was made from minced pieces, very tender and well-seasoned, which made the dish taste rich and satisfying. Overall, a lovely experience, and I would definitely come back again.

Great food, salads were delicious. Sandwiches were great. We had the BLAT and the turkey. Iced latte was very good and Chai latte was excellent. Service was great. Place was recently remodeled and I believe new owner? Great view in the patio and fair prices. Good was fresh and clean.

Coffee is okay. It’s drinkable. They don’t have almond milk which was disappointing for my wife as she doesn’t drink milk and oat milk gives her acid reflux. We both got an açaí bowl it’s also on the lunch menu. $16 although there is a typo on the lunch menu that says it’s $15. It was small for that price. Also could have used more açaí and Nutella. Maybe they need larger to go containers because it was also squished into the top as you can see in the photo. We might come back in a pinch but ideally would try somewhere else next time.
