Crema's Take

Cafe Couleur is a cozy, eccentric neighborhood gem where Vietnamese coffee with bright citrus notes pairs beautifully with meticulously crafted banh mi sandwiches that locals rave have the best bread in the city. The staff welcomes you like a friend, the vibe invites you to linger for hours with a book, and every detail—from the kimchi-spiked jackfruit filling to the perfectly balanced sauce—feels made with genuine care rather than efficiency.

Been wanting to try a new cafe since I work nearby and came across this one. Very cozy and the worker (did not get his name) working the counter was very welcoming. Ordered the meat bahn mi and Vietnamese ice coffee which were delicious, definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a quick lunch.

Love the jackfruit banhmi (especially like the kimchi addition) and hot vietnamese coffee (love the orange zest/citrus notes). Space is cozy and eccentric, great spot to read a book and enjoy your meal.

Simple menu done extremely well. The sandwich was everything you want from a banh mi. The bread was perfectly baked, the veggies fresh and crunchie, the sauce had a great zing. Drinks were also great!

We got both banh mis to share. This bread is actually the best bread I’ve had. The vibe is cozy and welcoming

Sure, you can go a lot of places in Philly and get a good sandwich. A few places have great sandwiches. But if you want your tastebuds rocked by a sandwich made with care in a place with a vibe that just makes you feel good, go to Cafe Colour. The fact that the Bahn Mi is the only sandwich/food on the menu means it is done right with a perfect ingredient ratio resulting in the exact right amount of flavor. The service is super friendly and the playlist was legit. I am happy. Go be happy.
