Old Town Caffe
950 East Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA
Crema's Take
“Tucked away on the second floor of a Colorado Avenue building, Old Town Caffe feels like a beloved neighborhood secret where the family-owned team treats every customer like an old friend. Their breakfast is genuinely exceptional—think generously portioned chilaquiles, breakfast burritos loaded with protein, and crispy bacon that steals the show—all reasonably priced for the quality and portion sizes. The coffee is solid too, but it's really the warm, patient hospitality combined with genuinely delicious food that keeps customers coming back on busy Tuesday mornings and beyond.”

Delicious breakfast which is enough for two people so it's reasonably priced. The bacon was the best part. Potatoes are deep fried and I like mine less greasy. A lot of customers came in so it's a popular spot. I loved that they were able to make me iced coffee with oatmilk. The staff is friendly and the food comes out fast. They will seat you or you can seat yourself. You order at the counter and they give you a number and they bring your food to you. If you come to the front, you walk up stairs but staff said there is a large parking lot in the back and a ramp for accessibility. I will definitely come here again! Today I got the toasted salmon cream cheese bagel and it is absolutely deliciuos!!! This place is very popular, non stop people coming in but you can get in and out quickly. They are fast and you can get take-out if you are on the go.
I really like this little cafe tucked away on a second floor, on Colorado avenue. It seemed quite expensive, but the food was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed a breakfast of Chile Verde chilaquiles and berry french toast and egg combo. Indoor or outdoor dining. Even a slight view of the beautiful Pasadena mountains. The service was 100% great.
Breakfast Burrito was fantastic. I had chicken added as extra protein. Very generous serving. Great value. I will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu. Coffee was great too!
This place was popping on a Tuesday. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. They’re family owned and operated and are super sweet, kind, patient, and attentive. I got their almond croissant, vanilla concha, strawberry matcha, waffle slices, and chicken Caesar wrap. Y’all know I’m on the hunt for the best Caesar wrap in LA and this one would probably make my top 3. It came with a side of ripe, sweet fruit and They recommended adding avocado to this wrap and they put a lot in and it added an extra creamy nuttiness that I liked. The wrap also held together pretty well and the tortilla was decently chewy and griddled. Lettuce was crunchy and fresh. Could use a bit more chicken and dressing and less croutons tho. The waffle came with lots of fruit, cream, and Nutella drizzle. The waffle itself was super fluffy and light with a good buttermilk flave. The strawberry matcha was ok…had a light matcha flave with mellow strawberry notes and wasn’t very sweet but was a bit minty? Paired pretty well with the super fluffy airy concha. The almond croissant was nice and flakey with good almondy flaves. People are nice and portions and prices are reasonable. This place is pretty good.
Great spot for breakfast on the second floor of the building - exactly what I was looking for! They have a wide variety for every taste, and it’s all good. The portions are very generous. I had probably the biggest veggie omelette I’ve ever had. I got a side of toast, but when the food came out I realized I ordered too much… of course I ate it all. My next visit was avocado toast with salmon. No thin slices of salmon - it was piled on thick toast and generous avocado spread. Delicious! Oh, and the coffee is good, like a rich medium roast. A couple people were coming in just for coffee. It was all delicious, fast and the people are great! The only drawback is that it is not a large place, so plan accordingly. I’ve been back already and I’ll return the next time I’m in the neighborhood. Give Old Town Cafe a try you’ll have a great breakfast. Remember, it’s upstairs. Cheers.
