Crema's Take

Rahha brings authentic Yemeni coffee culture to Detroit with a genuinely warm atmosphere that keeps guests lingering—order a silky latte or their standout Adani chai, then settle in for the kind of slow, unhurried experience that feels increasingly rare. The space has a cozy, inviting charm that regulars clearly love, and while the food can be inconsistent, the specialty drinks and generous hospitality (like complimentary lentil soup when waits run long) make it worth the visit.

Pros: Atmosphere, Lattes, Parking, Free Lentil Soup when wait was long, WSU discount Cons: Pancakes, Omelette, Lentil Soup, Hair on Omelette I had high expectations for this place based on the reviews and photos, which were outstanding. However, it was massively disappointing. Photos are deceiving. The omelette tasted like we could make a better one at home. It was a 2.5/5. The pancakes were thick and bread-y, and I didn’t like them at all - a 2.5/5. The latte was solid, and the server gave us free lentil soup because our food was taking a while. There was a small hair on the omelette but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The guy who served us (the cook brought it out) seemed very unhappy to be there. Not even a smile. Kinda odd but… OK. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it or go back.

If you’re looking for a cozy brunch spot with amazing food and even better hospitality, Rahha is a must visit. The space feels warm and inviting, and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. You feel taken care of the moment you walk in. The menu has a great mix of traditional Yemeni favorites and classic brunch options. Everything we tried was flavorful and comforting, from savory dishes like ful, shakshuka, omelets, and chicken gallaba to fluffy pancakes and French toast if you are craving something sweet. The prices are very affordable, which makes it even better. Their coffee and drinks deserve a shoutout too. You can get a cup of adeni chai for just $4 or an iced matcha latte for $6, which is rare these days. Bonus points for the student and first responder discount. It is conveniently located near Wayne State and Henry Ford Hospital, with free parking available in the back, which is a huge plus. Whether you are coming for brunch, coffee, or a relaxed catch up with friends, this spot is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend.

Had brunch at Rahha and it was such a vibe. The space is beautiful, warm, and genuinely comfy—the kind of place you can settle in with coffee and take your time. The food was delectable and felt thoughtfully made: a perfect mix of savory and sweet, with generous portions and flavors that actually pop (the kind of brunch spread you keep talking about after). Everything came out fresh, and it was one of those meals where you’re excited for every next bite. If you want a relaxed, cozy brunch spot with great presentation and even better taste, this is it. Would absolutely go back. And parking was a breeze in the back there was plenty of spaces.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem while driving down Woodward and I’m so happy I stopped by. Beautiful spot with Yemeni American breakfast options and my favorite part they serve coffee lattes and authentic chai! The place is spacious, staff is wonderful, pricing was great compared to other places. I ordered brown sugar shaken espresso, midtown omelette (I think that was the name), hash browns, strawberry matcha, and they gave me lentil soup on the house. Food was great and flavorful and can’t wait to be back !

We stopped by this new Yemeni coffee and brunch spot and absolutely loved it! The latte and the Adani chai were both delicious. But the highlight for me was the dragon fruit refresher, hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, so refreshing and flavorful. For food, we tried the cilantro chicken, Rahha potatoes, and Caesar salad, and everything was exceptional; fresh and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a cozy modern feel. It’s also in a perfect location, just a short walk from the VA and DMC hospitals, a great new spot for coffee or brunch before or after work. Definitely coming back soon!
