Crema's Take

Milkweed is a beloved modern American diner that takes breakfast seriously, with standout house-made specialties like cornbeef hash and creative pancakes (yes, Lucky Charms pancakes) that keep locals coming back again and again. The spacious, family-friendly atmosphere strikes that rare balance between lively and welcoming—whether you're squeezing onto a counter seat or settling in with a group of seven, the quick and attentive staff make you feel genuinely cared for. Pair your expertly seasoned sides and generous portions with a solid cup of coffee, and you've got the kind of neighborhood spot that deserves its devoted following.

Great diner very modern American. Had fabulous blueberry pancakes 3 stack generous blob of creamy butter plump berries with side of bacon and pork sausages which were beautifully seasoned. Coffee was a bucket sized hot and steamy with a lovely waitress that kept it topped up. The rest of the family had eggy omelettes that were fluffy. The eggs on advo were rinsed down with joy. Top spot make sure you did not have first breakfast as this is the stuff of dreams. Also if you are a pancake fan visit Charlie’s.

This was a great option for family brunch. There was plenty of room four our group of 7. The staff were quick and helpful in preparing a place for us. There is something for everyone on the menu. Lots of traditional options and some creative dishes to try if you want something new. The portions are generous. Our family really liked the butcher block brioche sandwich. There are lots of fun drink options. The service was good and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. *One note for those with mobility issues. The handicap stall in the bathroom has enough room but the stability bar is not placed appropriately to support next to the toilet, so you may need extra help.

1st time visiting and was lucky to get two seats at the counter as it was busy. I've been wanting to come specifically for the homemade cornbeef hash, (as I find it hard to find fresh these days), and they did not disappoint. 👌🏾 We also tried the Lucky Charm Iced Latte because , why not, and I usually get the same mocha latte hotta tatte drink so wanted to switch it up. I thought it was good and not too sweet actually, you can taste the coffee. My aunt wanted hers sweet so it's a personal preference with this one. Our server Bridget was attentive and lovely. Happy to have saw Ben as I was sad to see Blarney Stone close but this place is just as welcoming and look forward to coming back and not too pricey. Cheers!

I went for my birthday breakfast and I ordered the lucky charm Pancakes 🥞 🍀 and a side of home fries ..I thought they had alcohol at this location but they informed not currently. The waitstaff was very friendly and it did not take long for me to be seated or waited on. I even ran into a family member there who also recommended the pancakes. I do need to return to try other items but for the price and taste it is worth returning I just need you all to let me know what I should choose . Follow me on IG @teamdjlive2.0

I recently visited the second location of Milkweed and was thrilled to find one a bit closer to me! Their Tremont spot is always incredibly popular—with lines often out the door—so it's great to see them expanding. The new location is just as inviting and the food just as delicious. It was my partner’s first time visiting, and he absolutely loved it. They offer a fun variety of coffees and latte flavors, along with an extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch. We decided on the Breakfast Burrito and the Morning Madness—both dishes were full of flavor and the portions were generous. The Morning Madness was a standout—the ham had a perfect char, and the sausage tasted homemade. It might be the best sausage we’ve had anywhere! The burrito was equally satisfying—hearty enough that even half was filling. While it would’ve been nice to have a side like fruit or home fries as a palate cleanser, the burrito on its own was quite substantial, so it didn’t feel like anything was missing. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth the visit!
