Cozy cafe with a homey feel. Great coffee and delicious lookin’ pastries (I’ve yet to get one). Wish it wasn’t so busy every time I went, but waiting several minutes for a seat isn’t the worst. Will be back, 100%
What a gem! From great food to friendly service and a very cozy atmosphere - we loved our lunch date here! I’m not usually a tuna fan but the old man & the sea was mind blowing. Such a fun take on tuna with the cilantro and pickles. We also got the turkey town and it made my mouth water! It was pressed to perfection and the sourdough was so good. We also got coffees and they were great - I’m picky about my lattes and well the honey graham one was perfect. Definitely recommend this spot. Parking was easy too, we found a spot right out front. I can’t wait to go back!
This spot has some solid, delicious, unique, and well-curated sandwiches. The taj mahal sandwich has some of the best egg salad fillings I've ever tasted and the turkey town pressed panini was perfectly toasted —yet soft, and very flavorful. I'm not much of a coffee person but my partner is a coffee snob and thought that their brown sugar latte was delicious, which is not to be taken lightly from her. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area to try more slapping sandwiches (and coffee for her).
Cute bakery on the corner of Dorchester Ave. There is plenty of seating inside, including a long dining table in the center for you to chat with strangers if you want to. The person working at the front was very sweet and walked me through the different pastries. I went at opening, so everything was still available. I settled on the pecan cranberry scone. To be honest, I did not enjoy it that much because it was too dry, but the cranberry bits were nice, and it did taste a bit better once I heated it up. The portion size was also decent. I want to give this bakery another chance and try a different pastry.
This place is AWESOME! Best bakery I’ve been to in the whole state, and it was just close to my house, the whole time! The food is delicious and fresh, their chocolate cookie chips are awesome. And their hot chocolate? It is better than the Starbucks one and way more cheaper. I ended up staying there for about 2 hours on my day off, I was so comfortable that I didn’t notice the time and yet, no employee made me feel that “you got to leave”. Nope, the employees were naturally nice and friendly. Many people were having different conversations in the bakery, some seemed to talk business and some, school. Oh and, when I left the bakery I forgot something I bought to go, one employee went out, called me in the street holding my cake in the hand. So nice of her considering how the cake tasted so good! I’m so surprised with the place I discovered, especially considering the really affordable prices. I’ll definitely be going back.
