Crema's Take
“This beloved Persian spot in El Paso creates an authentically Iranian atmosphere where regulars and first-timers alike linger over housemade specialties like perfectly spiced Ghormeh Sabzi and crisp Shirazi salad, with owners Reza and Isha bringing genuine warmth to every table. While the kitchen occasionally stumbles with execution, the hummus is genuinely delicious and the overall experience—beautifully decorated, unhurried, and welcoming—makes it feel like discovering a hidden gem in the Southwest.”

Our food was very dry. My son’s kabob was overcooked and burnt a little. The hummus was very delicious. Service was great.
The restaurant has a beautiful, authentically Iranian interior, with great service and delicious food. Overall, I’d rate the Ghormeh Sabzi a 7/10, the rice an 8/10, and the Shirazi salad a solid 9/10. But the Mirza Ghasemi was definitely a 10/10! I wish I knew the secret behind how they made it so smoky!🫠 it was incredible. I truly enjoy seeing our fellow Iranians bring that warm, nostalgic Iranian vibe to different corners of the world and share it with others.
Reza and Isha are amazing ! This was my husband and I first time trying Persian food and it was delicious! Must try ! Great people and great food.
5 Stars - Absolutely Amazing First Persian Food Experience! I recently visited Tasty Kabob on Mesa in El Paso for my first time trying Persian food, and it completely blew me away! From the moment we sat down, everything was clearly made from scratch with so much care and love. For starters get the sampler, you can try 5 items for the price of 2! I enjoyed the eshi olives, the creamiest, most flavorful hummus, and hot, fresh pita. Perfect way to start the meal. For the main course, I highly recommend ordering the "Tour of Persia." It's the best way to sample a little bit of everything — the beef and chicken were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was packed with flavor and authenticity. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, we finished with Persian ice cream and baklava for dessert — a superb and unforgettable finish. The ice cream was rich and fragrant, and the baklava was perfectly sweet and flaky. Tasty Kabob made my first Persian food experience absolutely unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back — highly recommended.
