Crema's Take

April 90's brilliantly merges Thai street food with creative boba culture, earning perfect marks for dishes like pineapple fried rice and pad Thai that punch above what you'd expect from a casual counter-order spot. The real magic is in their signature creative drinks—think taro and Thai boba tea—that complement the vibrant, veggie-forward food so well that regulars find themselves popping in equally for lunch and for an afternoon pick-me-up. It's the kind of place that surprises you with its depth: approachable and quick, but never cutting corners on flavor.

I love thai food and i have lived in portland for a very long time. That is why i was surprised to find that the food 90s thai bistro to be my new favorite. They put extra effort into the quality and presentation of their food. This was my second time and it was consistently good! They are in a narrow space next to la bonita mexican restaurant on division. I have passed by this place and never noticed it was even there, i thought it a boba and other tea shop. But they also do thai food and its gooooood!

Looks like mainly a boba place at first glance, but don’t be fooled - the food here is amazing. I’ve eaten here several times now and every dish I’ve tried has been very tasty. The boba is also solid. It’s a small space, but still pleasant to eat in.

This place is near my office and everything I have had has been amazing! Sometimes I pop in for a taro or Thai boba tea. Have also had the pad Thai and crispy chicken larb for lunch. So good! Very cute interior and the staff are super nice.

Great flavors from the pineapple fried rice and pineapple jasmine iced tea. Cute spot to grab lunch or dinner. Order at the counter, tons of options

This is my favorite place to grab lunch during the work week. Dishes are full of flavor and offers plenty of veggies. PLUS the boba teas are also excellent.
