Crema's Take
“Tucked in Solana Beach, this spacious brunch spot deserves its stellar reputation for delivering surprisingly sophisticated dishes that feel both creative and satisfying—think perfectly executed eggs Benedict with bacon, and pancakes worth a serious road trip. The welcoming atmosphere shines through in how the team handles even the busiest weekend mornings, making groups feel like regulars while you linger at the bar or claim a seat on the patio. Fair warning on pricing and portion sizes, but the quality of ingredients and execution make it a worthy destination for anyone serious about brunch done right.”

Medium sized sit down restaurant. Sat at the bar by the barista. Ordered the Parmesan Risotto Cakes with Bacon Eggs Benedict and it was great. Good flavor and yet not a heavy meal. Service was good considering how busy they were. I didn't get a coffee but shout-out to the barista who was absolutely killing it. Impressed with her ability to be on point for an hour non-stop.
This is a fantastic spot for breakfast in Solana Beach! There’s plenty of seating both inside and out, though I’ve heard it can get quite busy. The menu is solid—not overwhelming, but full of great options and a wide variety of beverages. Parking is a breeze between their private lot and the train station lot right across the street. I also love that they have a separate to-go area for a quicker pace. Excellent service from Teresa!
I was definitely surprised by how spacious the place is and also how good their food is! Quite pricey though and some items may be fairly small for the price but definitely a good place for brunch! Came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon exactly at noon and there was actually no wait which is amazing. Had a nice spot outside on the patio and also brought our dog. This was a nice ambience for sure. Dulce de leche Chai latte was phenomenal! Husband got this one and he definitely made the right choice. There we asked for almond milk and were a little surprised that they charged an extra $1 for that. Not too bad though cuz that drink was delicious. Friends got the ibara mocha and raspberry mocha. But honestly, everyone agreed that the dulce chai latte was the best! Asparagus and roasted beet salad - 8/10 Honestly this was a really nice salad with flavors going really well together. We added some chicken on and it was a great source of protein. Chicken was not too oily and was also cooked really well. Only downside here for which I had to take off a major amount of points is the salad was actually very small. Quite expensive for the small portion size. Raspberry ricotta stuffed French toast - 10/10 This was absolutely amazing! Soft French toast with that raspberry compote and the ricotta filling on the inside was a really good combination. Quite a large amount of ricotta filling which was appreciated. Fresh berries on top were also abundant and overall a really good item on the menu. Fried green tomato sandwich Friend who was vegetarian got this and honestly we were both surprised how large the sandwich was! Really really good portion size with an abundant amount of filling inside. Also got some fries on the side which was nice. Value for money here. Salted Caramel Waffles Friends got this to share and nice how it was loaded up with pecans and bananas and came with Chantilly cream on the side as well. I think they quite enjoyed it because they finished everything on the plate.
We went the weekend after Thanksgiving, and I had the best pancakes I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot of pancakes). For science I had to confirm this... So 85 mile trip to confirm with a friend... And yes their pancakes were indeed the best that I have had. These aren't your standard buttermilk pancakes, they're thick, dense, almost the consistency of potato pancakes, but my god are they delicious. Looking forward to the next 85 mile one way trip for these pancakes.
A great place for brunch! Despite being quite busy they made room for our group of five and treated us like regulars! The eggs Benedict were the real winner on the menu, especially with salmon or bacon and the hasbrowns were worth returning for! I had the Mexican themed eggs with tortillas instead and black beans as I’m trying not to eat meat and I totally regretted not having the salmon and hash browns all to myself!
