Cafe Levant
4641 S Carrollton Ave, New Orleans, LA
Crema's Take
“Cafe Levant has mastered the art of being both a quick caffeine pit stop and a place you'll linger for hours, with genuinely lovely staff who seem to actually enjoy making your day better. Their signature drinks—like the pistachio latte that somehow stays bold and flavorful, and creative seasonal offerings like date and cardamom—reflect a thoughtful approach to coffee that goes beyond the typical neighborhood spot. The cozy Carrollton location pairs perfectly with their excellent pastries and light food, making it equally suited for a solo writing session or catching up with friends over an avo press on soft, pillowy bread.”

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. The staff is super friendly - one time they even came around with samples of their cookies that were delicious. My favorite order is the Levantine latte and the Levantine spread on a plain bagel. It’s so good! The Levantine latte is full of flavor and not too sweet. The Levantine spread on the bagel is filling and the flavor is so good. I switched it up today and got the cardamom date latte. It did not taste sweet which I like, and had a very good flavor. I enjoyed it! I also got the m’sakhan rolls which had a very unique flavor - very good!
Visited a friend in the neighborhood over the weekend, and this cafe was so lovely we stopped in almost every day! The staff is friendly and service is fast. The food we had was delicious, and the strawberry matcha is a MUST try!!! I also got an iced dirty chai, and the chai was great. Spicy more than sweet, which I prefer. All in all, a great place to stop in on your morning routine. Will definitely come back when I visit again!
such a cute spot. The avo press is very good (bread so soft) and i love that the pistachio latte is still strong without losing the flavor. Cute, cozy, quiet, and the staff is so lovely wonderful sweetie pie
A new favorite spot on Carrollton. The ambiance is simply lovely and the staff are incredibly sweet. The restroom is clean. It's a beautiful place to meet friends or sit down and write. Don't sleep on their pastries (pistachio tres leches!) and beverages with an ethnic flavor.
I’ve been here a few times now, and the coffees are amazing! My favorite has been the pistachio latte, but recently I’ve been venturing out to try different items. I got the date and cardamom latte a few weeks back - and it was a big strong for my taste, but I know this is very common with cardamom in general. I am Indian and loveeeee cardamom in tea but haven’t really had it in coffee. Today I got the mufwar latte (coffee with cardamom/ginger) and it is delicious! Just the right amount of cardamom and ginger for me. I also appreciate that they have community signs outside the store and at the cash register, it really speaks to solidarity and community! I’ve also had the lotus cheesecake, pistachio tres leche (!!!!) and macrons. All have been delightful, I love how a lot of the middle eastern sweets are not overwhelmingly sweet, just a nice subtle sweetness and great flavor- amazing with a lovely coffee. Staff have always been sweet, kind, and attentive. I recommend this spot to everyone!
