Crema's Take
“This Arlington gem seamlessly blends Ethiopian culinary tradition with serious specialty coffee, where barista Hanna crafts exceptional espresso drinks alongside house-made injera and boldly spiced dishes like awaze tibs and kuanta firfir. The warm, unhurried atmosphere makes it equally perfect for lingering over a carefully pulled shot, catching up with friends, or hosting celebrations—regulars rave about both the kitchen's fresh, beautifully plated food and the coffee's distinctive character. Whether you're discovering Ethiopian food for the first time or returning as a devoted local, Meda rewards you with genuine hospitality and flavors that keep people coming back.”

Delicious! We had the vegetarian platter + steak tips + tuna (raw mince with seasoning). Hanna took great care of us. She makes amazing coffee! Can’t wait to make it back on our next trip to the area.
We chose Meda to cater our baby’s baptism party and everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, professional, and made the whole day easy and stress free. Meda helped make a very special day even better. Highly recommend.
A true hidden gem in the area! We got the veggie combo platter with awaze tibs. Every time I come here the people are so kind and the food is always delicious. A wonderful local business and my favorite Ethiopian place in the DMV. Thank you Hana, our waiter for a pleasant time.
We went to Meda Ethiopian Restaurant and it was by far one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. The food was incredible! The kuanta firfir was packed with flavor, and the boksega cake was absolutely amazing. A huge shoutout to our waiter Melat, she truly rocked! Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Oh! Melat also suggested for my son to try the burger and it was fire!!! Totally would go again! Thank you Melat and keep up the great work! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian food and great service. We’ll definitely be back!
This is out first time trying Ethiopian food and it was surprisingly great!!! I love the awaze tibs which is a kind of flavorful beef stew, it was so good! And the coffee is so special and it has a unique smoky smell! Also the vibe is so good, they are very warm and friendly! Highly recommended!!!
