Crema's Take
“Drop Cafe is a strikingly beautiful, design-forward coffee destination where espresso craftsmanship meets genuinely exceptional pastries that taste like they came straight from a grandmother's kitchen. The skilled baristas lean into creative, slightly sweet flavor profiles with signature drinks like their fruity pebble matcha, while the compact space cultivates an intimate atmosphere perfect for lingering conversations or serious coffee appreciation. If you're a coffee enthusiast seeking both visual charm and a reliable cup in Albuquerque, this is worth seeking out.”

Tried the fruity pebble matcha and the pastries on a busy weekend morning. Great presentation, but flavors were just okay. Was expecting some fruity pebble flavor incorporated into the matcha beyond being sprinkled on top. The employees were amazing and very friendly though! Will come by again to try the lattes in the future.
Fantastic coffee shop. I'm an absolute coffee snob, having worked at one of the best shops in town. This shop absolutely competes with the best of them, if on the sweeter side. Having such a unique spin on coffee (for the city) only adds to the brilliance. The shop itself looks absolutely stellar, very unique and pain-stakingly crafted. I can't recommend this place enough, it's my new go-to. And, it's on the Westside! Let's not let them down, and keep them busy for years to come.
This place completely blew my expectations away!! I was so shocked at how good their baked goods were. Literally tastes like how my grandma makes them. The spinach kross (aka fataya) was PHENOMENAL it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. It was my first time trying sabaya too and I really enjoyed it. My friend loved her items (the croissant and chicken wrap). I got a Spanish Latte and she got Red Tea with Mint. It was so so good. The owner and staff are extremely nice, prices are reasonable, absolutely loved my experience here, will definitely be coming back!!
I saw this coffee shop for a while and was so excited to finally try it! I have to say, I read a lot of the low star reviews and personally disagree. Yes, the shop is a bit small, but there’s other small coffee places in town, who have slow service, and not great, expensive, coffee. Which in my opinion we were in line for a bit here, but got our food and drinks pretty quickly! We did have to wait in a line, but because this place is THAT GOOD they’re trending on TikTok for a reason! While standing in line, we were given a small fruit cup (with good variety) for our baby (who loved it!) My husband got the Turkish coffee (only $5 which is awesome!) and he said it’s just like how they serve it in other countries & he’s not big on fancy coffee places but was like “now this is coffee!” (Italian/Albanian man approved!) I got their signature Drop latte, iced and loved it! For something different it was very good! I’m definitely going back to try the Spanish latte. We also got the Kross bread with ground beef which did have chile in it, but we loved it! We also tried their Mamoul cookies with cardamom and the Dubai chocolate strawberry croissant! I’m not a huge Dubai chocolate person, but it looked so good and it was sooooo delicious! The cookies were also good for something different! The girl at the register was so nice and explained things very well, the owners are very sweet and the atmosphere was what you expect from a popular restaurant! Everyone was laughing and enjoying their food and drinks. For $40 with everything considered, the price was decent! I’d spend $40 at Starbucks on a few cake pops, and a couple coffees, so I was very satisfied with the amount of food & drink to price ratio! They have so many options, there’s so much more I’d love to try! If only they had a drive thru, I’d probably start going everyday. I’ll definitely be back for sure! Compared to Starbucks, Satellite, or other small local shops, this one is definitely worth trying!
An exceptionally beautiful coffee shop—this place drips class and is by far one of the nicest coffee shops I’ve ever been to. This shop looks like it would be right at home on Haight and Ashbury. They’ve taken the “bouji coffee shop” aesthetic to the next level in Albuquerque. I had the Crème brûlée iced latte and it was absolutely phenomenal. This coffee is so smooth tasting—and this particular combination of flavors is the perfect sweetness to complement the robust coffee flavor without over compensating with sugar. And the toasted marshmallow accent is adorable and tied the whole experience together in a fun way. I also got to try out the Tiramisu iced latte—which was also a vibe in its own right. Definitely a go-to if you got a sweet tooth. For the pastries we tired: Rose rice pudding 8/10 Great if you’re into floral tastes. The texture was perfect for rice pudding and it was gorgeous. Crème brûlée Cheese cake 7/10 Very good cheese cake—but just a cheese cake with caramelized sugar. Rose tresleches cake 10/10 This was breathtaking as a dessert—both taste wise and with looks. With just a hint of rose it isn’t overpowering the delicate flavors of the milks and cake itself. Plus the balance of moisture in the cake was perfect. It wasn’t a soggy mess and held its form. Plus the little case that it comes in is one of the best ways I’ve seen this cake served.
