Cafe 'Alalā

700 Bishop St, Honolulu, HI

Crema's Take

Tucked into an upscale Honolulu office space, 'Alalā pulls off the rare feat of being both a serious espresso destination and a warm gathering spot where the staff treats regulars like old friends. Their signature creative drinks—like the coconut-forward Iced Haupia Latte—showcase real care in execution, and the thoughtful pairings with toasted croissants and pastries suggest this is a place that sweats the details across the whole experience. Whether you're after a bold, nuanced Americano or something more adventurous, the consistently high reviews hint that 'Alalā has earned its reputation as Honolulu's best specialty coffee through both craft and genuine hospitality.

This is the BEST coffee you can get in Honolulu! I can say this confidently as a coffee lover who orders an Americano at different coffee shops. The flavor is rich and bold, and it truly made my days exploring the island. 특히 한국인이라면 딱 좋아할 향이에요 :) I’m so happy Honolulu has this coffee shop. This was my first visit to the island in five years, and it made the trip even more special :)

Located in an upscale office. Delicious food and amazing service. Would come here every day if local!

The iced Haupia Latte with Soy milk was just right with a light coconut flavor. I also got a croissant which was split down the middle, and toasted. I was encouraged to pour the honey on my croissant... yummy! Thank you!

I really enjoyed the coffee, the croissant sandwich, and the bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was truly delicious! My friend said the matcha latte was delicious. Everyone was so friendly, too.

Rebranded from Café Daisy to Café Alala — still amazing! I’ve been coming here regularly because the coffee and food are always delicious, and the staff is super friendly. Even after the rebrand, the quality hasn’t changed — if anything, it’s gotten even better! They’ve added more menu options, which I love. Definitely one of my favorite spots to grab a coffee and relax.
