Crema's Take

Cafe Papillon is a beloved Downtown Miami breakfast destination that draws crowds for its generous, craveable breakfast plates—think massive croissants stuffed with ham and egg, fluffy waffles, and perfectly executed eggs Benedict—paired with reliably excellent coffee drinks and a genuinely atmospheric space that fills up quickly. Beyond the food, regulars rave about standout beverages like their hot chocolate and fresh-pressed orange juice, though it's worth noting that waits can be long and prices shift around, so come with patience and flexibility. It's the kind of neighborhood gem where families linger over leisurely morning coffee, and the croissant-and-coffee combo alone might have you thinking about it for weeks.

I got the omelette sandwich and it was soo yummy. The caramel frappe was also very refreshing and sweet! Would definitely come back.

They don't value their customer's time, prepare to wait. Prices are subject to change with out notice, lol. They add service fees and include gratuity. If you order uber eats it's actually cheaper but, don't start preparing your order until you arrive. Today I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, they put a hot cookie in a styrofoam container. I took a bite of the cookie with out realizing. I'm super grossed out. Isn't common sense to put the cookie in a napkin first??? When I came back to politely show them and ask for replacement- I waited 10 min for a replacement cookie. She still didn't put it in a napkin, luckily this time it wasnt hot.

A good start to the day in Downtown Miami. A very atmospheric place and few empty seats. That's a good sign given the competition. I deducted one point because the eggs Benedict were slightly overcooked.

Such a key spot for breakfast if you're in Miami!! The croissant with ham, egg and cheese is delicious and massive. I still think about it. My boys loved the waffles! Very reasonable priced. Can get busy and be a bit of a wait but it's worth it in my opinion!

One of my absolute favorite places to go nearly everyday! Highly recommend. Very pretty place with the best hot chocolate for blocks. Amazing orange juice and amazing eggs. Absolutely try the French toast as well!
