Mix Huevos
5365 Camden Ave, San Jose, CA
Crema's Take
“Mix Huevos is a San Jose breakfast spot that's earned serious love for its Instagram-worthy dishes like churro French toast and perfectly executed chilaquiles, though their pancakes can be disappointingly dense. The cozy atmosphere offers some genuinely private nooks for a quiet morning coffee, and the kitchen clearly takes pride in both flavor and presentation, making it worth the TikTok hype. It's the kind of place where the food photo actually matches what arrives at your table—and tastes even better.”

The pancakes look so good but they were hard. Super thick but not fluffy. I soaked mine in milk after warming them when I got home. Everything else I was ok. Looks really good kinda mid hate to say because Nicole one of the waitresses was so cool. The papas bravas are bomb and the eggs came out perfect the second time.
We really liked this place! The atmosphere was nice, some of the seating is very private. The food was really good in terms of taste and presentation but what impressed us was the portion. For the price and quality of the food, you really get what you pay for. I ordered the wellington benedict. My steak came out as I liked it (medium rare), the hollandaise was perfect, and the muffin was hearty. The potatoes were good (would've liked it more crispy though). My husband got the three little pigs skillet. He enjoyed it and also rated it high. Their drinks were good too, although lighter on the alcohol. The staff were great and attentive. Food came out quick even though they were pretty busy. Overall, great place! Try it once, the portion size will make you come back for more.
Absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend trying the Churro French toast. The country potatoes were also cooked to perfection. This is now my new go-to breakfast place for sure!
Found this place on tiktok, the food is what caught my eye and it was as good as it looked! steak was cooked to perfection and chilaquiles were saucy and crunchy. There was a lady (im assuming a photo vendor) offering to take a picture of us. Kinda a guilt trip to buying one, but it was a cute picture so we purchased it (it was $20). It was busy since we went on a Sunday morning but we waited for 15-20min to be seated. Server was not attentive though, it took him about 30 min to get our food order and would glance away/partially listen when we would tell him our order. For it being our first time, food and atmosphere was great, but service needs work.
This is probably the best brunch or breakfast spot I've ever been to. The prices are affordable, especially for how quality the food is and how big the portions are. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and tasted fresh. The service is also amazing. All of the staff is super friendly and the waiters were all incredibly quick and efficient with everything. Might be some of the best service I've had a restaurant. I had the chicken and waffles- the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. The waffles were fluffy and light, not too sweet. The chicken was crispy and flavorful- not dry and it was well cooked. They use real maple syrup and the chicken and waffles came with the most delicious maple gravy. The interior of the restaurant is clean and very nice with a full bar. They also have outdoor patio seating that's dog-friendly. Amazing restaurant that I'd highly recommend and would go back to.
