Common Grounds
Uc Berkeley, Berkeley, CA
Crema's Take
“Common Grounds feels like the quiet refuge every UC Berkeley student needs, tucked away as a dependable sanctuary for those pulling long study sessions in Dwinelle Hall. Their espresso-focused menu keeps things straightforward and honest, perfect for a quick caffeine boost, while the laptop-friendly setup makes it easy to settle in for hours without feeling rushed. The food selection is modest but practical—sandwiches, yogurt, and fruit rather than elaborate pastries—which somehow feels fitting for a place that prioritizes being a genuine workspace over a destination café.”

This place is my sanctuary on long days spent in Dwinelle. They don't have a great selection of food. They have a few different sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, etc, but they do have pretty much a full Peet's Coffee menu.
