Crema's Take
“Tucked into the heart of Alameda, this neighborhood gem combines a welcoming deli counter with a solid coffee program and thoughtfully curated market selection that makes it feel less like a convenience stop and more like a genuine community gathering spot. The staff's genuine warmth shines through in every interaction, whether you're grabbing a perfectly crafted traditional coffee, a generously stacked sandwich, or browsing for wine and cheese—it's the kind of place where locals keep coming back because they feel genuinely cared for. It's ideal for a quick coffee meeting or a leisurely browse, with just enough character and quality to make even a routine errand feel special.”

What a great place the Island Savory Market is, they've got just what you need and when you need it! I was leaving the island heading back to Napa after dropping off a box of Thingamajigs to some Hoeboke Hipster that fancied himself above all others, ..the dude carried a mirror around with him and would take lusty looks at himself, and dream of the times he had spent with himself. It was a bit much to handle, and Napa was looking pretty good, but I needed a quick bite before I jumped on the freeway, and the Island Davory Market sure hit the mark! The sando was amazing! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ for sure.
I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while now. I worked close by a while back. I would occasionally pop in to grab a coffee or pastry. Interaction with the employees was interesting- mostly awkward, usually ignored upon walking in, but I gave it a pass. They do have a decent and interesting selection of food and snacks. They also have made to order sandwiches, but they’re definitely overpriced for that they give you. My final time going there was an evening they were close to closing and I decided to grab a pastry. While I’m waiting for my order to be warmed up, I see an employee sweeping the floor. He then uses the same broom to sweep the chair and then the TABLE. Never been back since.
The sandwiches are delicious. This store is 2 blocks from my house, and I love going there! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are great for grabbing a bottle of wine and cheese. Definitely go check them out😋
I have popped into Island Savoy a couple of times in the last few weeks for a sandwich and the staff is so welcoming! Head to the deli at the back for a big beautiful sandwich then peruse the isles for local coffee, tea, baked goods, produce and gourmet pantry goods. The cafe features coffee from Signal and tea from Julie’s coffee & tea garden. Both beloved Alameda businesses
I can't say enough good things about Alameda Island Savoy Market! The staff here is truly amazing – always welcoming and helpful. The deli offers a fantastic selection of frozen food, all organic and farm-to-table, which is a huge plus for me. Their coffee is exceptionally fresh, adding a perfect start to my morning. Thank you! I loved that their service is deeply rooted in the community, giving a warm, local feel to every visit. I'll definitely continue to visit and support this wonderful place. Highly recommended!
