Dazbog Coffee

Crema's Take

This locally-owned Denver corner spot doubles down on espresso-forward drinks with a particular knack for potent cold brews like their legendary Red Eye that'll wake you up fast. The airy layout and outdoor seating make it an inviting neighborhood hangout, though service can be inconsistent—your experience might depend on who's behind the counter. If you're after serious, no-nonsense coffee in a place with real character (pup cups included, despite what the staff might tell you), Dazbog delivers.

I have been going here for about 4 years with my dog for a coffee and a pup cup. I always tip. Today I was informed that they usually don’t do this and that is a Starbucks thing. I said, I’ll give you a dollar tip for the pup cup. He made my coffee and then went to the next customer. I politely asked if he forgot the pup cup and I was informed again that they usually don’t do this and he tossed a dog biscuit on the counter and walked over to make the pup cup(I think). So I said forget it, grabbed my tip and left. I guess I will be going across the street to Starbucks now, cause I’m never going back there. I know I’ve given them over $1,000 of business over 4 years and a canister of whipped topping is probably cents for them. Now I have a sad puppy

Nice little coffee shop on the corner of 9th and downing Locally owned and operated. I help with maintenance on the building and have come here a lot. Owners are nice people 👍

The male worker was sitting on the patio when I arrived. We started walking in the building at the same time, me being behind him and he let the door close on me. That pissed me off. He was friendly when I walked in but I was done with him at that point. I got a coffee and Danish. Danish wasn't good, coffee was mid.

5 stars for the layout of the place itself. 0 stars for the service. Walked in at 7am to an empty coffee house. Asked if they had a particular blend of coffee. They didn't. When I sat down to go work on my computer, I was stopped and told that I'm not allowed if I'm not buying something. I'm not sure if I was being profiled as homeless, or if this is just a policy to protect the coffee shop. Either way, I'm a paying customer who would've likely bought a 7 dollar latte at some point, and this place would've had my repeat business. I was forced to buy bottled, plastic water. And this interaction guarantees I will not spend a dime at this place again. The lone other customer who was deciding what she wanted to order, came over to me and said "I think you handled that really great. I almost walked out without buying anything after seeing that, but I'm on a time schedule and I have to meet someone right now, and I want my coffee" Oh and it looks like they have no free water station. The best part? The wifi stopped working for me 5 minutes into an important document, and the owner refused to do anything to help.

First time trying this place. Hubby got the Red Eye and I got a blended chocolate chip drink. The Red eye cold coffee drink is NO JOKe!!! Talk about hair on ya chest! 😆 super strong if that’s what you’re needing at the time. The blended drink was yummy as well. Wasn’t too sweet or strong. Perfect mixture. Only downfall to this place is that the blended drinks can’t be dairy free as the powder base or all of them is made with milk and the drink sizes run a little smaller than were used to. Inside was clean and they had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The team was nice and fast.
