Nova Espresso

Crema's Take
“Tucked into New Orleans' coffee scene, this espresso-focused spot wins people over with its understated charm and genuinely skilled baristas who treat every cup like it matters—whether you're ordering a classic dark roast or something more adventurous. The bright, modern space is intimate enough to feel like a neighborhood gem, with excellent pastries (the coconut custard situation deserves a mention) and a curated vibe that makes it equally suited for a focused work session or meeting a friend over really good coffee. People keep coming back for the combination of quality drinks, thoughtful music selections, and that rare thing in a busy city: a staff that seems to genuinely care about their craft.”

Went here twice while in Nola. Nice play for a cup of dark coffee. Even got a free refill. Good music too on the day I went. The barista had a nice playlist going. Someone else even commented on it to him. No idea who he was but he did well that day.
A really solid coffee stop in NOLA Nova Espresso in New Orleans may not have the wow factor of the Mobile location, but it has a charm all its own, and honestly that’s part of why we liked it. It feels relaxed and welcoming in the best way. I had a cortado with oat milk and it was smooth and well balanced. My 9 year old ordered chocolate milk and a cinnamon roll and was very happy, which is always the real test. Everything tasted great and felt thoughtfully done without being fussy. Service was prompt and friendly, and it’s the kind of place you’d happily stop into again without overthinking it. Good coffee, happy kid, easy win
Very good coffee. I ordered a mocha. I went here while attending a conference, and it was packed every day. The staff were a little short, but I’m not surprised given how busy things were. I arrived right at 7:05 AM after they opened at 7 am, and the place quickly filled up.
Great little coffee shop with delicious pastries. I went here at 8:00 for a couple of breakfast pastries and they were delicious. One classic cinnamon roll and one more unusual coconut custard-filled piece which was truly delectable. The service wasn’t the fastest- I was waiting in a queue of 2 people (including myself) for a decent little while, which at least allowed me to take photos for this review. I cannot speak for the coffee but I’m sure it’s great, as it’s their specialty being a coffee shop.
Excellent coffee, skilfully made and aesthetically presented. Great croissants to complement. The ambience is bright, well-lit and modern. There are 6 two-person tables inside plus bar chairs, as well as a couple of outdoor tables to sit on if the weather’s good.
