Good Coffee
6099 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX
Crema's Take
“This El Paso institution shines brightest for its generous, well-seasoned Mexican breakfast fare—chile verde plates and fluffy omelets that hit their mark when the kitchen is on point—served in a comfortable, inviting space that locals keep returning to. While recent reviews suggest consistency has wavered with quality and service, Good Coffee still draws crowds who appreciate the authentic flavors and friendly atmosphere that define a true neighborhood gathering spot.”

The Chile verde plate and Mexican omelette were so flavorful. It was plenty of food as well. The meat and potatoes were very tender and the beans and rice were seasoned very well. The omelette had plenty of toppings and cheese and not overcooked.
I asked for a red meat soup. The meat tasted like if it the refrigerator for months, it was salty specially the beans the beans straight from the can almost taste. The metal from the can one of the worst mex tex Restaurants I have ever eaten. Do not recommend it you worn.
Never had problems at good coffeetill today. Got there no one to seat you down which that was OK. Waiter came to see what we wanted to drink he left to get our drinks. We never got a menu had to ask for one when we ordered we got our food but no silverware coffee was cold he ask if we needed anything else I said yes I would like some salsa
I’ve ordered from this place many times, and in the beginning, everything was great. But over time, the quality and service have gone downhill. One day, I ordered the machaca burrito with no onions. Simple request. They included onions anyway. I spoke with the older lady who’s usually there in the mornings and asked for a remake. The second burrito also had onions. When I showed her, she literally started poking at it with her fingernails, insisting there were no onions — even though they were clearly visible. They took forever remaking it again, and I eventually got tired of waiting and walked out without a refund. Fast forward to today — I ordered the steak ranchero plate. This time, I received steak that was partially raw. I had to drive back to get it fixed, and while they did remake it, the new plate came out with burnt jalapeño and tomato pieces and no salt or seasoning in the steak or eggs. At this point, I give up. There’s always something wrong with my order. I really wanted to keep supporting this place, but the inconsistency and lack of care have made it impossible.
The restaurant provides a comfortable and inviting setting ideal for socializing. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The overall dining experience was excellent.
