It is no wonder why Onyx continues to be a local powerhouse of a coffee shop. When any small business reaches a certain scale and level of streamlining, often the sacrifices that are made are aesthetic or quality in nature. This is not the case with Onyx. They seem to have captured lightning in a bottle with their ability to grow and yet maintain that feeling of smallness and familiarity that is so important when a consumer wishes to shop local. No matter how often I see their name and products in different places all around NWA, I still think of them as my little local coffee shop. The coffee is consistently fantastic, the staff always admirably personable despite the foot traffic being objectively hectic at times, and the atmosphere is cozy.

First time at this coffee shop! The location and parking lot are a bit cramped, and it gets busy, so arrive early. I did enjoy the coffee. It is definitely a spot for people who appreciate coffee itself more than sugary drinks. I also really enjoyed the ham and cheese croissant!

I like to stop by be there for a little bit. It feels like just nice even that you know anybody there but the environment is he has a good vibes and I like to stop there because I like to buy my coffee and some T-shirts some sweat sweatshirt. I like the quality of those and also they’re like not very common like not many people have having so yes that’s a great place to go to relax have a coffee and avocado toast😛

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a clean, welcoming atmosphere that just felt good to be in. The décor is modern yet cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the outstanding service. The baristas here are polite, genuine, and engaging—no pretentiousness, just pure passion for coffee. They took the time to explain their selections and helped us pick the perfect drinks. We ordered a couple of lattes, and they were absolutely fabulous. The rich, smooth flavor combined with perfectly textured milk left us grinning like a possum. Of course, the coffee itself is top-tier. Whether you’re a pour-over fan or prefer something more classic, Onyx delivers exceptional quality every time. This place is the gold standard for coffee shops, and it’s no wonder they’ve built such a loyal following. Can’t wait to return!
