Crema's Take
“Tucked away near Santa Fe, San Marcos Cafe & Feed is a rustic gem that doubles as a genuine local hangout, serving traditional New Mexican breakfast with serious soul—think perfectly executed huevos rancheros with blue corn tortillas and chile that locals rave about. The charm is unmistakable, from the weathered country atmosphere to their show-stopping daily specials like bourbon apple pie served warm with vanilla ice cream, all delivered with genuine warmth that makes both regulars and road-trippers feel right at home. It's the kind of place that surprises you with its heart the moment you walk through the door.”

Down to earth yummy food with a country atmosphere NM style! The desert special was a bourbon apple pie that nearly made me weep, it was so good served warm with vanilla ice cream. 👍
WHAT A TREAT!!!! We’re passing through and our RV park alerted us to this find a bit off the map. Very friendly and cozy environment. Outside is really rustic and beautiful. Service was outstanding. Great menu. We had the “breakfast enchiladas” with fajita chicken and a fried egg on top. Tasted wonderful. Fresh and hot. Should have visited the feed store but on a schedule.
Ordered Huevos Rancheros, one of my favorite dishes. They serve this with blue corn tortillas that tasted great. Their chile is very good to excellent. Since I order Christmas, i.e., both red and green chile. Both have great chile flavor without being overpowered by other ingredients. Portion size is very good, filling but not over the top. Price is comparable to other local restaurants for such a dish.
Truly a local roadside treasure. Choices are egg and breakfast oriented with a New Mex slant. There is the menu, and Daily specials and the deserts. With a rustic kitchen atmosphere. (Check out the old cookstoves in the corners) Quick service, generally a locals place. Servings are just right. For a treat, be sure to get a cinnamon roll either to go, share, or be overwhelmed. They are not small.
I told my wife that breakfast was going to be at a feed store. She was skeptical to say the least. Then we walked in the door and she was blown away by the charm. And then we were blown away by our breakfast. Absolutely worth the stop if you're in Santa Fe. Oh, the empty plate? What's left of my Benedict.
