Crema's Take

Muse Cafe is a Cincinnati neighborhood gem that's earned fierce loyalty from regulars who return weekly for its thoughtfully crafted drinks and locally-minded food, from fresh caprese salads to excellent pastries. Beyond the coffee itself, this is a genuinely social space where you can linger with board games and a piano, catch live jazz and blues nights, or work quietly to lo-fi beats—the kind of place that feels equally welcoming whether you're meeting friends or settling in solo for hours. The creative drink menu and genuinely warm staff elevate what could be a typical cafe into something people actively want to build their routines around.

I’ve been a regular customer at Muse Cafe for over six years. I visit at least once or twice a week, have brought many friends, and have even brought my children to jazz and blues nights. I truly enjoy their sandwiches and lattes, which is why I’ve continued to come back despite the customer service often feeling less than warm. Last night, however, was especially disappointing. I came with a friend to do some work during a music night and was told there was a $10 minimum per person. We ordered what we needed and were only $2 short of the minimum, yet we were still repeatedly pressured to order more or pay the balance, even after explaining we didn’t want anything else. Eventually, we ordered additional items, tipped generously, and stayed. It was also very cold because a back door was left open during freezing weather. When I asked if it could be closed, I was told it would be, but it never was. After waiting, I ended up closing it myself. Another customer even came over to check on the door, which spoke volumes. When this was mentioned, the response we received felt dismissive. I’ve been very hesitant to leave a review, but after years of loyalty, this experience left me feeling unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback, because the food and atmosphere truly have so much potential.

Came across this hidden gem today and omg! I love me a nice coffee shop. I ordered the caprese salad with a glass of Chardonnay and it was soooo fresh. I also ordered me a cheese danish before leaving and it was DELICIOUS, so sweet and flaky. I will definitely be visiting here again.

5 star experience in every way. Food was delicious, drinks were amazing and the staff is absolutely top tier. Huge shout out for the lowfi Minecraft jams, too! Thank you, we can’t wait to come back!

Not hospitable or friendly! I did not feel welcomed. The person bringing my coffee sneezed as she was bringing it over & she managed to sneeze away but that put me at unease to drink it. Saucer was chipped. Messy counters. Never again! sorry.

Really cute place! I came here to hangout with a friend. They have board games, water, and a piano available to have fun time with friends. The drink menu is nice and there's great creative options. I tried their midnight flower iced latte made from chocolate and lavender flavoring. I was pretty impressed since flower flavors are hard to pull off. Definitely a place to sit down and chat with friends for a bit. Not really a quick in and out sort of deal.
