Istanbul Cafe & Bakery

Crema's Take
“This beloved Denver spot masterfully blends Turkish culinary tradition with Colorado hospitality, where crispy, flavorful börek pastries and Turkish breakfast plates keep locals and curious newcomers equally devoted. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff create the kind of place where you pop in for a quick coffee and end up settling in for the full experience—though the mixed food safety reviews warrant a note of caution. Whether you're seeking authentic Turkish drinks, exceptional pastries, or simply a clean, family-friendly café that feels like a genuine community gathering spot, this is Denver's best Turkish option.”

I stopped by this café for a quick coffee and ended up trying their ground beef börek as well. Both were incredible. The café is very clean, and the staff is friendly and professional. I highly recommend this spot!
🤢 Warning: Food Poisoning. I had a drip coffee and the Lachuman here yesterday during lunch, this was the only thing I consumed yesterday. Shortly after, I was evacuating my bowels the rest of the day and all night. The only thing I consumed after that was some Pedialyte. My stomach was in so much pain. The male individual working yesterday was not friendly, short attitude, and pretty rude. Furthermore, I question what hygienic practices he was abiding by, if any. The Lachuman itself was very underwhelming. Dry, little to no flavor, and tasted odd. Easily the worst Lachuman I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and be really careful about eating the Lachuman. You might be tortured for it like I was.
I tried a couple of their Boreks. I've never had this cuisine before (to my knowledge) but I liked them The filo dough was crispy and the fillings had a lot of flavor. I recommend giving it a try if you're in the neighborhood, especially if you are or are looking to get adventurous with new cuisines/foods.
We accidentally stumbled into this adorable café and were immediately welcomed with smiles and free samples. We ordered the mom’s plate, spinach and feta börek, and an Americano. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. They even sell baklava! Inke was incredibly helpful the entire time. We would definitely come back—thank you so much!
Best turkish option in denver, su boreki looked and tasted slightly different that original but meat borek was good. Turkish ppl were dying for the boreks. Turkish style breakfast was on point but the portion size was small. Definitely going back
