Equilateral Coffee

Crema's Take

Equilateral Coffee is a beloved neighborhood gem where expertly crafted espresso drinks meet genuine hospitality—the baristas remember regulars' preferences and the house-made syrups (including a standout spicy Aztec Mocha) elevate even traditional coffee orders into something special. The vibe skews artsy and creative with rotating seasonal offerings, making it the kind of place locals enthusiastically bring visitors to showcase their coffee pride. Fair warning: it gets buzzy and noisy during peak hours, but that's the sound of a community that's fallen hard for what they're doing here.

Great coffee and art! A bit on the noisy side depending on how busy it is. They make their own syrup and it’s delicious.

Great people, great coffee. I especially love the unique syrups and the spicyness of the Aztec Mocha(its one of my favoite drinks)

The best coffee I've ever had. I take all my friends from out of town to Equilateral and everyone says it's the best coffee they've ever had. Highly recommend their rotating seasonal syrups or the black matcha!

I just can’t say enough good things about Equilateral & the amazing people who own it 🫶🏻 They always remember that my partner likes a sip lid & that I prefer a straw, even though we have never actually told them this, or told them which of us drinks what. They just always know! This personal touch is just one of a million reasons why we love them & why we drive 30 minutes each way to get their coffee on the weekends. I was a barista for 6 years so I know quality when I taste it, and they are never lacking! Between all of this and their commitment to community, inclusion, and equality, they are hands down the best coffee shop in Chico ❤️

First time here and the coffee I had was really good. The inside was rather sparse but there were a few tables. They also had some food items (pastries). Next time I will get a small bite along with my coffee and update my review.
